Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Yoshinobu Tokugawa (ranked 3585 p4p, 3687 weight class) and Bazar Al Jhit (ranked 409 p4p, 416 weight class). Bazar Al Jhit acknowledges the crowd's support as he enters the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Yoshinobu Tokugawa!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 9 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Bazar Al Jhit!
The judges for this bout are Timothy Bukovac, Don Winkell and Jack Bonds.

Al Jhit connects with a nice looking jab.

Tokugawa throws a leg kick but Al Jhit sees it coming and moves out of range.
Al Jhit lands a nice hook to Tokugawa's body. Tokugawa takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.

Al Jhit closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
Al Jhit is taking a breather. Tokugawa says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.
Al Jhit wants to free his trapped foot but Tokugawa is holding on for dear life with his legs.
Tokugawa is trying to maintain the position but Al Jhit is very close to passing his half guard.

Yoshinobu Tokugawa seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Bazar Al Jhit showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

My spies in Catch Wrestling L.A. inform me that Al Jhit has been getting involved in the gym's BJJ sparring sessions. Let's see whether that pays dividends!

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Tokugawa is being controlled here.

Al Jhit tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Al Jhit has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!

Yoshinobu Tokugawa has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Tokugawa is staying active underneath Al Jhit, who seems content to just control the action from this position.

The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.

Al Jhit remains in side control and seems content to stay there. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while.

A very excited looking Bazar Al Jhit rambled incoherently for about 5 minutes post fight about how awesome he is. It was kinda funny for a while but then everyone got annoyed.
