Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Keizo Kasai (ranked 1935 p4p, 1925 weight class) and Chris Walker (ranked 240 p4p, 239 weight class). This should be fireworks!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 7 - 5 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Keizo Kasai! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 5 - 3 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Chris Walker! The judges for this bout are Bart Greer, David Hoff and Michael Johnstone.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Kasai fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Kasai moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body. Kasai lands with a nice combination. Walker backs away looking to recover. Kasai lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Kasai.
Walker is rocked! Walker dodges the punch combination from Kasai.
Walker feints a counter leg kick. Walker is still on wobbly legs! Can Kasai finish him? Walker darts in and out, connecting with a jab. Walker seems to have recovered his senses. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Walker showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Kasai.
Kasai throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Walker on the side of the head.

Kasai stalks Walker and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Walker's face. Walker staggers backwards, shaken. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Walker takes a body punch but keeps moving. Walker staying out of range there. Walker throws a hook but Kasai blocks it. Walker fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Kasai manages to avoid it. Kasai tries to counter by moving into the clinch but Walker manages to circle out of the way. Walker throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Kasai is looking to counter the offense by Walker and move into the clinch. Walker ducks under a wild hook from Kasai.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Kasai comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range. Kasai getting the better of the striking in that exchange. Walker manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat. And an attempted straight right on the counter from Walker! But no joy. Kasai fails to land with a series of punches.

Walker crunches a lovely knee into Kasai's ribcage. Walker is looking to score with knees to the body. Maybe he'll change it up and go body then head. Kasai is defending well for now. Kasai looks to be in better condition than last time we saw him fight. Obviously he's been working hard on his cardio. Walker stalling in the clinch but Kasai improves position. A shot in the inside from Kasai. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Walker is stalling here.
Kasai lands a body shot. Kasai lands with a left to the head. Kasai takes an elbow to the temple. Walker creates a bit of distance and throws an elbow that only just misses. The pace really dropping off here, momentarily. Walker trying to stall but Kasai improves his position.

Keizo Kasai dominated that round. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. Kasai lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Walker at a distance.
Kasai throws a series of punches but Walker moves out of range. Walker steps in looking to counter with the mid kick but it doesn't connect. A slow jab from Walker misses its intended target. Walker checks the leg kick nicely there.
Kasai scores with a one two! Walker had his feet all tangled up there and couldn't avoid the strikes. The fighters circling - Walker throws out the jab but it was never going to land. Kasai tries to bum rush Walker with a series of wild strikes but Walker uses good footwork to avoid the assault. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Kasai goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo. Keizo Kasai is winning the standup battle so far. No joy there for Kasai, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

That's one minute gone in the round. Left hook, right uppercut from Kasai. Kasai digs a good body shot into Walker's ribs. Kasai lands an overhand right. Kasai avoids the clinch attempt nicely.

Walker let fly with a counter punch to the body but it didn't land. Walker swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target. Keizo Kasai seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Walker gets a clinch. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Kasai scores with a shot to the side of Walker's head. Walker has been looking to improve his clinch game in recent weeks. Kasai seems to have the measure of him in the clinch so far, so let's see if Walker can turn it around.

Keizo Kasai dominated that second round. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. This is the final round! Kasai swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Kasai takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles. Kasai lands the left hand. Kasai fakes a jab and throws a low kick but Walker checks it well. Kasai cracks a nice hook into Walker's ribs. Kasai throws a left and a right that both miss

Kasai avoids a lazy jab quite easily. Walker blocks a jab. Kasai throws a combination. Walker tries to block but a couple of punches get through. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Kasai misses with a few strikes there.
Kasai throws a combination that misses and Walker counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body. Both fighters are breathing heavily. Kasai lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin. Walker connects with an inside leg kick. Kasai misses with a two punch combination.

Walker misses with a looping right. Kasai misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Walker closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage. Walker unloads a knee to the mid-section. Kasai lets out a prehistoric sounding urrrrgh. Walker misses the knee to the body. Nice hip positioning from Kasai.

Walker gets an overhook and lands an elbow to the side of the head. Walker is looking to control Kasai's arms but Kasai gets an underhook and turns him. Now Walker has his back to the cage. We are yet to see a takedown attempt from Walker in the fight. On paper you would think he is the more dominant ground fighter so let's see if these unusual tactics pay off. Walker prevents Kasai from breaking the clinch. Kasai throws a head punch that misses. Kasai avoids the elbow strike from Walker, against the cage.

And that's the end of the fight! Keizo Kasai showed his dominance in that final round. Well I reckon that's a shut out for Kasai, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
