Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Ryo Nakamura (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Bada Boom (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Boom comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Metallica - All Nightmare Long kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the featherweight championship of the world!

And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 7 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Bada Boom!
The judges for this bout are Tatsuya Matsuyama, Yukihiro Yamamoto and Shigeki Sano.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Boom on the wrong end of a decent looking cross there.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Boom swings around for an armbar but Nakamura sees it coming a mile off and turns beautifully into Boom's guard.

Boom has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Nakamura can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Boom isolates an arm and boxes in a triangle. Nakamura stacks Boom on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by Nakamura!

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

I really don't envy Nakamura right now.

Nakamura is displaying good submission defense - not really looking in danger of submitting to the rear naked choke at the moment. That could change in an instant of course if Boom gets his way!
