Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Erco De Beer (ranked 4462 p4p, 3536 weight class) and Micky Gars (ranked 485 p4p, 418 weight class). Well, I have no idea who's going to take this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Erco De Beer!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Micky Gars!
The judges for this bout are Sam Margolis, Donald Grub and William Gold.

De Beer fakes a jab and then connects with a hook.
Gars clinches.
Gars has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics De Beer uses from the top position.
De Beer trying to control but Gars is working from the bottom.
Gars pulls De Beer in to control the position.
Gars pushes De Beer off for just long enough to get back to his feet. Very athletic spring there.
We've been told by De Beer's head coaches at Savage Gym that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight.

De Beer throws a hook to the side of Gars's head but Gars sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Gars tries to counter with a clinch but De Beer shakes him off and moves away.
De Beer pushing out the jab but it's not landing.

and De Beer counters with a nice uppercut.
Gars darts in trying to clinch
letting De Beer counter with a right hand.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Gars shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.

Gars stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. De Beer swivels though and keeps the full guard.
De Beer is working an open guard so Gars takes the opportunity to get back to his feet.
Gars misses with a low kick.
Gars takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming.
De Beer lands a big uppercut and Gars crumbles to the floor! The ref thinks about stopping the fight but Gars looks OK. De Beer waves Gars back to his feet!
Gars is rocked!
Gars tries to close the distance and clinch up but De Beer swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Gars is still on wobbly legs! Can De Beer finish him?
Gars glances at the clock... BAM! De Beer nails him with a big right hand! A momentary lapse in concentration sends Gars crashing to the mat! The referee steps in and this one is over! Damn, Gars is out of it, he thinks the ref is his opponent!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:34 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Erco De Beer!
Erco De Beer tried to hype himself up post fight but didn't word it too well and it ended up with him sounding like a bit of a tool.
