Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Anthony Sylva (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Lyoto Aoki (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Aoki comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Handlebars kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Both fighters look pumped up here. Let's hope this is a good fight!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
7 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Anthony Sylva!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

8 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Lyoto Aoki!
The judges for this bout are Tatsuya Matsuyama, Shigeki Sano and Yukihiro Yamamoto.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sylva shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away.
Sylva trying to control but he's not successful this time.
Aoki bucks up and manages to get a nice reversal! He's in guard on the top - nicely done!
Aoki must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
Sylva has his foot on Aoki's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Aoki works his way back into a safe position though.

Sylva working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Aoki doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Aoki manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Aoki is keen to just control but Sylva is a slippery customer.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Aoki decides to return to a standing position.
Aoki tests Sylva's chin there with a solid looking shot.
It looks like Anthony Sylva has been cut.
Aoki keeps the fight on the outside.
Sylva looks for a takedown but Aoki sprawls well.
Sylva has closed the distance and engaged Aoki in a clinch.

Aoki escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.

The fight stays on the outside here - Sylva looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Sylva looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Aoki is fending him off so far but Sylva persists. Nope, Aoki circles away and we're back to standing.
Sylva is breathing heavily.
Sylva dodges the punch combination from Aoki.
Aoki has managed to clinch.
Aoki escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Aoki takes the fight into the clinch.
Sylva wants a takedown but no success here.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Anthony Sylva. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Aoki breaks from the clinch.

Sylva misses with a hook. Aoki ducked under it nicely.
Lyoto Aoki is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Aoki leaves Sylva with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Sylva tries to clinch but Aoki moves away
and Sylva is countered with a crisp right hand from Aoki that sends him to the canvas! Aoki follows him to the mat into side control.
Sylva is rocked!
Aoki lands a strong strike to the head of Sylva. That's dazed him! Aoki looking to finish here. Sylva is waving his arms around trying to block but he's hurt badly - Aoki lands more strikes and the referee steps in to end the fight!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:01 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Lyoto Aoki!
