Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Usef Salvador (ranked 3829 p4p, 6948 weight class) and Vitor Sanches (ranked 0 p4p, 624 weight class). Usef Salvador has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Usef Salvador! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Vitor Sanches! The judges for this bout are George Francis, Daniel Franklin and Wesley Smith.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Salvador shoots for a takedown but Sanches saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily. Salvador fails miserably with a takedown attempt. Sanches shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Salvador as he avoids it easily. Salvador shoots in and drives through. Sanches sprawls well. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Usef Salvador. That's going to take a lot out of him. Salvador drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard. Sanches is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Salvador defends well. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Sanches working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Salvador doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Salvador manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Sanches must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. Sanches is stalling in the full guard. Salvador is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.

That was a close round but I would say that Usef Salvador will probably get the nod. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! Sanches goes for a double leg but Salvador avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Salvador continues to drive forward. Salvador stuffs the takedown. Sanches dives in and grabs Salvador's left leg, looking for a takedown. Salvador pushes down on Sanches's head and hops out. Salvador changes levels looking for a counter takedown but doesn't commit. Usef Salvador has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Vitor Sanches. Sanches fails to land the takedown. Salvador half commits to a counter takedown before pushing away, out of range. Sanches shoots in for a takedown but Salvador shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Sanches shoots in but no luck this time. Salvador appears to be looking for a counter takedown. Salvador closes the distance and pushes Sanches back into the cage. Salvador pulls guard effortlessly. Sanches looking to sit in guard and control but Salvador gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.
Sanches is breathing heavily.

Salvador advances position into side control! The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Salvador tries for a kimura but Sanches is defending well.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Salvador looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything. Salvador happy to just control the position for now. Salvador wants to control but Sanches is keeping him busy.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Salvador tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Salvador has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought! Salvador swings around for an armbar but Sanches sees it coming a mile off and turns beautifully into Salvador's guard. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Sanches accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. Salvador is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Sanches is aware though and is defending well. Sanches wants to control from the top but Salvador keeps moving.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Sanches throwing strikes from guard but Salvador blocks nicely. Salvador keeping moving, preventing Sanches from controlling successfully. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Usef Salvador dominated that second round. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business. This is the final round!
Salvador moves into the clinch. Salvador gets control of Sanches's arms and successfully pulls guard. Salvador will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back. Salvador working away from the bottom but not quite defensive enough there because Sanches has passed into half guard!

That's two minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Sanches pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Salvador is keeping the position for now. Salvador had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Sanches defends it easily. Sanches trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Sanches content to sit in guard, stalling... Great. Oh but he could get punished here because Salvador has locked up a guillotine! Salvador's face is contorted as he sqeezes tight on the submission attempt - will he finish? Sanches is holding on here and Salvador must be using up a lot of energy. Sanches has gone limp! He's out! He's out cold! Salvador gets to his feet, tossing aside his stricken foe. Arms raised, he milks the applause from the crowd. Great submission!
