Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Dwight Demaine (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Huima Kostaja (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The judges for this bout are Kenichi Hosakawa, Shigeki Sano and Shigeki Fujiwara.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Demaine dodges the punch combination from Kostaja.
A combination from Demaine does no damage.
Kostaja shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Demaine pinned against the cage. Demaine gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Kostaja moves forwards but Demaine connects with a nice, crisp jab.
It looks like Huima Kostaja has been cut.
Demaine tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Kostaja was well out of range. Poor timing from Demaine.
Demaine throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Kostaja counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Demaine!

You get the feeling that Demaine really doesn't like being in this position too much.

Demaine on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Demaine tries to get out of the position.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Demaine is really trying hard to get back to his feet.
The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves.
Kostaja jumps to the side looking to secure the arm triangle…. Ooooh, that looks tight… Demaine is gargling but he's managed to escape! Nice work there by Demaine and Kostaja has given up the dominant position trying to land that submission.
Demaine is working hard to escape and get back to his feet. After a battle for position, Kostaja asserts his dominance and retains side control.
Demaine can't do much from the bottom here.

Demaine pushes Kostaja away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, Kostaja gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control.
Demaine is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked Kostaja off and has taken his back!
Demaine gets his hooks in and is throwing strikes.
Kostaja just trying to survive but Demaine is wriggling into a better position, looking to finish.

Demaine is trying to stick to Kostaja's back but Kostaja is turning into Demaine. He's managed to reverse the position - now he's in Demaine's guard. Polite applause from the crowd in appreciation of some nice Jiu Jitsu by Kostaja.
Kostaja has gone for a leg lock! Demaine slips out almost immediately though and dives into Kostaja's guard.

Demaine wants to stand but Kostaja is controlling his posture from full guard.

Kostaja drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Demaine manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Kostaja has Demaine in his guard.
Demaine tries to free his leg and advance position but Kostaja is retaining full guard.

That was a close round but I would say that Dwight Demaine will probably get the nod.
The cut man is working on Huima Kostaja's cut.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.
Demaine punishes Kostaja's body with a nice straight punch.
Demaine scores with a nice looking left hook and follows it up with an uppercut!
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Demaine fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.

Kostaja swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Demaine works the jab nicely.
That has opened up Huima Kostaja's cut even more.
Kostaja takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch.
Demaine throws a right and a left that Kostaja avoids nicely.
Demaine lands a body shot.
Demaine misses with a double jab.
Kostaja takes a shot to the body in his stride.
Demaine lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected.
Demaine scores with a hook to the body. Kostaja takes a step back and tries to catch his breath.
Demaine is looking to wear down Kostaja with body shots, infact he's throwing more body shots than head shots at the moment.
Demaine scores with a jab to the jaw of his opponent.
The cut above Huima Kostaja's eye is starting to cause him problems now.
Demaine moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body.
Dwight Demaine is winning the standup battle so far.
Demaine swings for the body but Kostaja moves out of range.
Demaine scores with a punch to the gut of his opponent.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Demaine scores with a straight right hand, right through his opponent's guard.
Kostaja ducks right into an uppercut from Demaine.
Demaine's corner calls for a 1,2 combination and Demaine duly obliges.
Huima Kostaja's cut is absolute horrible now. This looks like something out of a horror film with blood covering both fighters.

Demaine lands with a two punch combination before moving back out of range.
The referee calls the doctor in to look at Huima Kostaja's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:10 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Cut). Dwight Demaine!
