Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.

Smith takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.
Smith blocks the body kick.
Lavice moves out of range as Smith strikes.
Lavice has been working on his striking defense in training and it's paying off as Smith is landing a low percentage of strikes.
Lavice throws a sloppy head kick and Smith moves out of range easily.
Lavice pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Good standup being displayed there by Smith as he connects with a hook.
Smith swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Lavice throws a half hearted mid kick.

Lavice throws the kick towards the body but Smith avoids it.

Nice uppercut lands for Smith. That snapped Lavice's head back.
Smith walks into a stiff left hand from Lavice.

Lavice on the wrong end of a decent looking cross there.

Lavice goes for a spinning back kick but it misses.
Lavice has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Smith finds it's way round the side to connect with Lavice's head.
Smith swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
Lavice throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Lavice tries a head kick but it misses.
Smith feints and then winds up with a huge right hand that connects perfectly and sends Lavice sprawling to the canvas! Lavice rolls over backwards and springs off the cage and manages to regain his footing - how acrobatic! Oh, he's still wobbly - can Smith finish him?!
Lavice is rocked!
It looks like Rene Lavice has been cut.
Smith throws an uppercut from hell that sends Lavice clean off his feet! He's out cold! Smith stands back and admires his work as he thinks about that KO of the night award that is surely being wrapped up for him back stage.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:14 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Clifford Smith!
