Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between CJ Tripp (ranked 822 p4p, 1979 weight class) and Conor OShea (ranked 135 p4p, 296 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 14 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, CJ Tripp! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 10 - 11 - 0, fighting out of London, Conor OShea! The judges for this bout are Chris Downing, Tiny Johnson and George Francis.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Nice jab there from Tripp. OShea ducks under a wild hook from Tripp. OShea looks like he wanted to counter with a high kick but didn't throw it. OShea throws the left hand but Tripp avoids the punch easily. Tripp throws a good cross that connects.
OShea misses with an uppercut
and OShea takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles. Conor OShea seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. OShea misses with a head kick.
OShea has a takedown stuffed. Tripp jabs OShea to the body, keeping him at a distance. OShea ducks right into an uppercut from Tripp. Tripp on the wrong end of a decent looking cross there.
It looks like CJ Tripp has been cut. Tripp connects with a body shot that sends OShea's belly button to the back. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Tripp leaves OShea with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt. Tripp throws a leg kick which misses OShea's front leg but catches the back leg as OShea tries to avoid it. OShea clinches with his opponent.
That's one minute gone in the round. OShea swings wildly with an uppercut but Tripp uses good head movement to avoid it. Tripp lands a hook that snaps the head of OShea backwards. OShea pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Tripp digs a good hook to OShea's body.
OShea lands a jab, followed by a cross and another cross, as Tripp backs up against the cage.
Tripp throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
OShea moves to clinch but Tripp breaks away and Tripp counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
OShea is rocked! Tripp keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
OShea swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Tripp keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. Tripp feinted there with a counter leg kick. CJ Tripp has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Conor OShea. Tripp moves away from the strike by OShea. Tripp throws the kick towards the body but OShea avoids it. OShea fails to land with a series of punches.
That's two minutes gone in the round. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Tripp with a jab. OShea misses with a wild body shot. A slow jab from OShea misses its intended target. An attempted straight right counter from Tripp misses the target. OShea tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. A little feinted left hand from Tripp on the counter but he doesn't commit to it. OShea is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two. OShea sizes up Tripp with a pawing jab and scores with a straight right down the middle. Tripp takes one on the chin but keeps coming.
CJ Tripp is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. OShea drops his hands momentarily and Tripp takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head. OShea walks straight into a right hand from Tripp - that's dropped him! Tripp jumps into mount and starts pounding away - can he finish?! More strikes go undefended and the referee has to dive in to save OShea from any more punishment! OShea complains about the stoppage but falls over as he tries to stand back up, so it was clearly a good stoppage.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:33 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Punches). CJ Tripp! After winning the bout, CJ Tripp thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility.
