Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Carla Oliveira (ranked 6425 p4p, 5406 weight class) and Julian Wallace (ranked 210 p4p, 197 weight class). Wallace has chosen Smile - Jimmy Durante as his entrance music. I don't know about you partner, but I'm pumped for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Donatello Bradman, Steve Erwin and Darius Henderson.

Oliveira uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Wallace.
As Wallace backs away, Oliveira returns fire with a leg kick that just misses.
Wallace looks to land a right hand but Oliveira moved out of range.
A low kick lands for Wallace.
Oliveira misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Wallace.
Wallace gets caught napping as Oliveira dives in and scores a takedown. Wallace manages to retain guard.
Oliveira is standing up over Wallace. Wallace looks to escape but Oliveira dives into side control.

Wallace takes a couple of big shots there - the referee warns him that he has to defend himself better.
Oliveira tries for a kimura but Wallace is defending well.

Oliveira has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Wallace's face.
Wallace avoids a series of strikes thrown by Oliveira.
Oliveira jumps to side control looking for an arm triangle but Wallace manages to avoid the submission attempt.
Wallace tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Oliveira wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.

Oliveira stands up and beckons Wallace to his feet.
Oliveira closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Wallace quickly recovers to half guard.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Oliveira looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Wallace with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.
Wallace is looking to improve his position.

Oliveira is figuring out what he wants to do next.
Wallace tries to strike from the bottom but it doesn't land.

My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.
The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Oliveira connects with a nice short shot to Wallace's temple.

Wallace looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.

Wallace buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
Wallace throws a sloppy head kick
so Oliveira counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.
Oliveira connects with a couple of short punches.
Wallace working away from the bottom but not quite defensive enough there because Oliveira has passed into half guard!

That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.

Oliveira seemed to be looking to counter by closing the distance.

and Oliveira counters with a nice double leg into guard.
Wallace is looking to stand back up but Oliveira counters by passing into half guard. Oops... bit sloppy there by Wallace.

Oliveira thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.

Oliveira seems like he's working for an arm triangle here. He's freed his trapped foot and he's rotating nicely. Wallace is in big trouble! He's tapping out! This one is aaaaaaaaaaaall over!
