Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jan Sobieski (ranked 225 p4p, 776 weight class) and Gabriel Arones (ranked 39 p4p, 109 weight class). Sobieski's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, Karnivool - Lifelike. Arones has chosen Lonely is the night as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 27 - 17 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Gabriel Arones!
The judges for this bout are Paul Tew, Chris Edwards and Andrew Berry.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Arones clinches up against the cage.
Sobieski blocks a couple of punches on the inside.
Sobieski is trying to trip Arones. He has hold of a leg but Arones is hopping around, keeping his balance for the moment. Sobieski persists though and gets the takedown into guard.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
Arones is looking for a triangle but Sobieski pushes his legs off easily.
Sobieski is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact.

Arones working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Sobieski doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Oh but Arones is tightening it up a little... Sobieski has to be careful here... He's got his foot tucked under now, this looks tight! Sobieski reacted too slowly and this one could be over in a matter of seconds! YES! Sobieski taps out! Nice BJJ there by Arones!
