Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Sparky Kovac (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Trey Pickett (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Sparky Kovac! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Trey Pickett! The judges for this bout are , and .
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Kovac stalks Pickett and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Pickett's face. Pickett staggers backwards, shaken.
Pickett is rocked! Kovac fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Pickett. Pickett is still on wobbly legs! Can Kovac finish him? Pickett moves into range and lands a nice leg kick. Pickett seems to have recovered his senses. Kovac gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard. Pickett slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard. Pickett looking to pass the guard. Pickett is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long. Kovac preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage.
That's one minute gone in the round. Pickett decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow. Kovac closes this distance looking for a takedown but Pickett circles away. Kovac tries to clinch but Pickett moves out of range. Kovac throws a push kick but Pickett slaps the foot to one side. Kovac wants to clinch. Kovac lands a jab followed by a nice looking cross.
Excellent takedown into side control there by Pickett. A lull in the action here. Pickett advances nicely into full mount.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Kovac is wriggling around trying to escape.
Pickett takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though. Kovac is trying to stand but he's just given Pickett his back. Pickett cracks Kovac with a big shot to body and one to the head - really punishing Kovac from the back mount here, looking to soften him up.
Pickett is looking cool and calm here, just waiting for a good opportunity to attack and finish the fight from this dominant position.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Kovac manages to get to his feet, escaping the difficult position. Kovac throws a wild combination but nothing lands. Kovac is breathing heavily. Decent striking displayed by Kovac there. Pickett decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard. Kovac wants to get back to full guard but Pickett has mounted him!
That's four minutes gone in the round. Pickett postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Kovac looks a forlorn figure.
Pickett swings around for an armbar and he's got it! Wow, that came out of nowhere! What a finish!
