Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Julain Swag (ranked 5447 p4p, 6262 weight class) and Ilya Kushnevich (ranked 525 p4p, 561 weight class). Swag comes into the arena with Goof GOb Them blaring out of the sound system. Ilya Kushnevich is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Julain Swag! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Ilya Kushnevich! The judges for this bout are Franklyn Lucas, David Schapiro and Chad Campbell.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Swag tries to check a leg kick but that clearly hurt him. Swag throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Kushnevich's waist but Kushnevich gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Swag off to one side. Kushnevich appeared to try and counter that last move with a leg kick. Kushnevich lands a really nice looking cross but Swag seems unphased.
Swag tries to clinch but fails miserably and Kushnevich counters with a body kick that brings a smile to the face of both fighters. Swag has his takedown stuffed and Kushnevich counters with a thumping low kick. Swag is looking to clinch but Kushnevich is avoiding it.
Kushnevich only half commits to the counter leg kick. Swag tries for a takedown but Kushnevich sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Julain Swag. That's going to take a lot out of him. Swag shoots in and gets a takedown into Kushnevich's guard. Kushnevich is trying to keep Swag in close.
Kushnevich wants to sweep but no luck. Kushnevich keeping moving, preventing Swag from controlling successfully. Kushnevich looking to sweep here. No luck so far. Kushnevich can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Swag controls the pace.
That's one minute gone in the round. Swag is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there. Kushnevich tries to land a sweep but no joy. Kushnevich is trying to control the position but Swag postures up.
The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity. Swag fails with the takedown. Swag gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and Kushnevich counters with a straight right hand. Swag scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground. Kushnevich really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Swag. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Kushnevich is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. Swag wants to control but Kushnevich is keeping him busy.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Kushnevich is trying to get back to full guard. Swag trying to control from half guard but Kushnevich is working away. Swag slows the pace down in half guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Kushnevich tries to regain full guard. Instead though, Swag has advanced to mount. Uh oh. Kushnevich is working to get back to half guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Swag is working for a guillotine from mount but Kushnevich frees his head quite easily.
Swag working to secure an arm triangle but it's not happening for him just yet. Swag looking for a guillotine from mount but Kushnevich is having none of it.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. Swag has hold of Kushnevich's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Kushnevich manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Kushnevich tries to lock up and control but Swag gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away. Kushnevich is working to get back to half guard.
Kushnevich wants to hold on but Swag pushes him away. Swag trying to control but Kushnevich is having none of it. Kushnevich gets back to half guard. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Kushnevich can do anything to dispel that myth. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Swag is trying to control the action in half guard but Kushnevich is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Julain Swag will probably get the nod. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business. Swag tries for a takedown but Kushnevich circles away easily and Swag takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles. Swag tries to clinch up but Kushnevich circles away and keeps his distance. Julain Swag is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Kushnevich throws a quick inside leg kick. Swag is looking to clinch. Swag shoots and misses and Kushnevich counters with a shoot takedown. Swag fights it but they end up in guard. Swag has thrown up a leg looking for a triangle. Kushnevich doesn't defend quickly enough and Swag has managed to lock this one up! Can Kushnevich escape?! NO! He's tapping out! Damn, that was a quick submission - congrats to Swag on a fantastic submission victory.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:38 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Triangle). Julain Swag! Julain Swag opened up his post fight interview with a scream to camera that he wants a title shot! Whether he deserves the shot will be up to the management of the organization, so I guess he'll have to wait and see.
