Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Ty Erbo (ranked 5163 p4p, 5310 weight class) and Tam Conn Jr (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The crowd giving both fighters a great reception on their way into the arena. That's good to see.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 1 - 3 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Ty Erbo! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 4 - 3 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Tam Conn Jr! The judges for this bout are Winston Alpacca, Dirk Anderson and Sandra Marshall.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Conn Jr has a takedown stuffed. Erbo is looking to clinch but Conn Jr is avoiding it.
Conn Jr changes levels for a counter takedown but doesn't follow through with his attempt. Conn Jr shoots in but no luck this time. Conn Jr fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. Ty Erbo has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Tam Conn Jr. Erbo tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Conn Jr swivels and escapes. Conn Jr rushes Erbo and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch. Erbo decides to pull guard. Conn Jr wants to pass the guard but Erbo is keeping the position. Conn Jr slips effortlessly into side control - very nice. Erbo is in a tricky position. We've heard reports from his gym mates at Island Training Centre that he's been drilling escapes, so let's see if he can get back to his feet. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Conn Jr has knee on belly and moves into mount. Erbo is breathing heavily. Conn Jr wants to control the pace but Erbo is squirming around nicely. Erbo really wants to buck Conn Jr off and get back to his feet.
That's one minute gone in the round. Conn Jr wants to finish this one by submission but Erbo is holding onto his waist, trying to prevent any attacks from Conn Jr. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Conn Jr is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Erbo can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.
Erbo sneaks a leg back under and regains half guard and is working straight away to try and get back to guard. He hasn't managed just yet though. Conn Jr wants to take a breather but Erbo is having none of it. Erbo knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Conn Jr on the ground. Conn Jr has hold of the far side arm. He's working for the Kimura, can Erbo defend it? Conn Jr steps over the head and cranks it - Erbo is tapping out! That was textbook stuff right there - nice submission victory for Conn Jr!
