Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Nikolai Putin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tetsuya Nakashiba (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Nakashiba is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Moonlight Densetsu!. Both fighters will be looking to make this an exciting fight for the fans, I'm sure!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
5 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Nikolai Putin! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
5 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Tetsuya Nakashiba! The judges for this bout are Kenichi Hosakawa, Hirohito Nitta and Shirou Masuda.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Nakashiba throws a head kick but Putin moves out of range.
Putin blocks a head kick by Nakashiba.
Putin throws a half hearted mid kick. Putin scores with a takedown into Nakashiba's guard. Nakashiba looking for submissions from the bottom but instead Putin passes into side control.
Nakashiba is looking for a sweep. Putin misses with a strike but at least he's keeping busy, looking to cause some damage - that will still help him when it comes to the judges scorecards.
Nakashiba is trying to get back to half guard. Putin tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Putin has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought! Putin tries for a kimura but Nakashiba is defending well.
That's one minute gone in the round. Putin is staying tight to Nakashiba's torso, preventing him from escaping. Nakashiba is positioning himself to get back to half guard. Nakashiba manages to get back to half guard. Putin throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man. Nakashiba gets full guard. Putin trying to control but Nakashiba is working from the bottom. Nakashiba throws his legs up looking for a submission but Putin uses it to pass to side control.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Putin tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though. Nakashiba is looking for a sweep. Putin is maintaining the dominant position - no doubt Nakashiba will start to get frustrated soon if he's not already. Putin tries for a kimura but Nakashiba is defending well. Nakashiba tries to buck Putin off but Putin is having none of it. Putin is working Nakashiba over with some ground and pound from side control.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Nakashiba is looking for a sweep. Putin works to advance to full mount. Nakashiba defends for a few seconds but eventually he succumbs. Putin goes for an armbar but he's fallen flat on his backside there and now Nakashiba is on top in guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Nakashiba tries to free his leg and advance position but Putin is retaining full guard. Nakashiba drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Putin dives on top into guard. Putin is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there. Putin postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Nakashiba is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Putin, into his guard. Putin is breathing heavily.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Putin trying to keep a closed guard but Nakashiba is proving a slippery customer.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Putin escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Nakashiba gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance. Nakashiba passes Putin's left leg - he's now in half guard. Nakashiba is trying to control. Putin wants to improve his position but can't escape this time. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Nikolai Putin dominated that round. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.
Putin changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Nakashiba tries to avoid it but Putin manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Nakashiba to the ground. Nakashiba escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. Putin will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Nakashiba tries a head kick but it misses.
Nikolai Putin is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Nakashiba throws a right and a left that both miss. Putin takes a head kick and shrugs it off.
Putin throws the kick towards the body but Nakashiba avoids it. Putin looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Nakashiba is fending him off so far but Putin persists. Nope, Nakashiba circles away and we're back to standing. Putin throws a series of punches but Nakashiba avoids them all with ease. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. A solid leg kick lands there for Nakashiba.
Nakashiba shoots and misses and Putin counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground. Nakashiba is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Putin is aware though and is defending well. Nakashiba working for a triangle but Putin defends it easily.
Nakashiba is breathing heavily.
That's one minute gone in the round. Putin stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Nakashiba swivels though and keeps the full guard. Nakashiba doesn't do any damage with a couple of strikes from the bottom.
Nakashiba lands a decent punch to the body there. Putin stands and throws Nakashiba's legs to the side, diving into side control. Putin is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Nakashiba is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now. Nakashiba looking for a sweep but Putin has passed into full mount! Oh no!
That's two minutes gone in the round. Putin mounts Nakashiba! Really nice guard pass there! Putin jumps to the side looking to secure the arm triangle…. Ooooh, that looks tight… Nakashiba is gargling but he's managed to escape! Nice work there by Nakashiba and Putin has given up the dominant position trying to land that submission.
Putin is looking to take a break and control but Nakashiba is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Putin in side control, just content to control the action for now. Nakashiba is looking to reverse the position.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Putin trying to control the position but Nakashiba is working away. Nakashiba tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Putin wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control. A bit of a lull in the action. I'm sure it will pick up again soon... even if the ref has to physically pick them up and put them back on their feet. Nakashiba wants to improve his position, back to half guard but Putin has ideas of his own. He's got hold of Nakashiba's far side arm and it looks like he's got an Americana. Ohh! Ohhhh! OOOOOOOOOH! A human being's arm is not meant to bend like that! Nakashiba is tapping like a morse code operator on the Titanic! SOS SOS! He's out of here! Great win for Putin!
