Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Takanori Sakurai (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Cyrus Plague (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Sakurai comes to the cage accompanied by number girl syndrome. Plague is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Calibrate the Virus by Winter Solstice. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

4 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Takanori Sakurai !
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

4 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Cyrus Plague!
The judges for this bout are Yasuomi Hirokawa, Sosuke Kotani and Shirou Masuda.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Plague throws a big shot that misses.
No luck for Sakurai with that takedown attempt.
Sakurai shoots in but Plague avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Sakurai takes a jab right on the kisser.
Plague misses with an uppercut. Sakurai saw that one coming.
Sakurai dives in and grabs Plague's left leg, looking for a takedown. Plague pushes down on Sakurai 's head and hops out.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Takanori Sakurai . That's going to take a lot out of him.
Plague ducks under a wild hook from Sakurai .
Plague shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.
Sakurai working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Plague doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Plague manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
Plague working from the guard for now, landing some ground and pound.
Sakurai avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.
Sakurai working for a triangle but Plague defends it easily.
Sakurai lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Plague!

Sakurai prevents Plague from getting the reversal.
Sakurai looking for an armbar but decides to keep the dominant position instead.
Plague sneaks a leg back under and regains half guard and is working straight away to try and get back to guard. He hasn't managed just yet though.
Plague is pressing down on Sakurai 's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Plague pushes Sakurai off and gets back to his feet.
Plague pivots, looking for a leg kick but Sakurai is out of range and Plague settles back down.
Plague throws a one two combo.

Plague drives through with a takedown into guard.
Sakurai throwing some rather feeble looking strikes off his back.
Both fighters really going for it on the ground here!
Sakurai has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Plague can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
Sakurai is breathing heavily.
Plague works over Sakurai with some ground and pound from guard.
Plague keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Sakurai 's head.
Sakurai working for a triangle but Plague defends it easily.
Sakurai is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
Plague with a nice head shot there.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Plague trying to control the position from guard on top but Sakurai is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Plague with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal.

Plague drops back looking for a submission - "I'm sorry sir, but I'm gunna break your leg" says Plague as he cranks on the unfortunate limb! Sakurai screams and taps out before any major damage is done! Don't mess with Plague! Nice submission victory there!
