The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
de Guzman connects with a good right hand that stumbles Machado. Machado circles away out of range and recomposes himself.

Machado is nestled in close to de Guzman, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.

Machado is scoring with some nice ground and pound from the dominant position.
The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Machado connects with a nice short shot to de Guzman's temple.
Machado takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists.
Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
