Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Lewis Tsushima (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Sam Samuels (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Tsushima comes into the arena with Eminem - Till I Collapse blaring out of the sound system. Sam Samuels has the eye of the tiger tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 6 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Lewis Tsushima!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Sam Samuels!
The judges for this bout are Taro Takaoka, Sosuke Kotani and Shigeki Fujiwara.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Samuels fails with the takedown.

It looks like Lewis Tsushima has been cut.
Samuels stuns Tsushima with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range.

Samuels tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Tsushima was well out of range. Poor timing from Samuels.
Tsushima throws a shot from downtown. Samuels moves away and avoids it.

Samuels shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard.
Samuels is keen to just control but Tsushima is a slippery customer.

Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Samuels in particular looking to stall.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Tsushima wants to get back to full guard.
Samuels tries to pass to full mount but Tsushima defends it.
Samuels looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding.
Samuels is stalling here. Tsushima is in no mood to hang around though. He's locked up a kimura from the bottom! Samuels seems to be keeping calm but he's forced to roll out of the hold and Tsushima has ended up in side control on the top. Nice work.
The ground and pound from Tsushima seems to be hitting the mat more than his opponent.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Tsushima connects with the punch.


It looks like Sam Samuels has been cut.
Tsushima clobbers Samuels with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.
Samuels fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Tsushima comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.
Samuels dives in and grabs Tsushima's left leg, looking for a takedown. Tsushima pushes down on Samuels's head and hops out.
Samuels looks gassed!
Tsushima throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.

Tsushima feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
Tsushima won't allow Samuels to sweep him here.

Samuels has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Tsushima can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

That was a close round but I would say that Lewis Tsushima will probably get the nod.

The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Samuels uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Tsushima.
Samuels doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body.

That was a close second round but I would say that Lewis Tsushima will probably get the nod.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

The crowd hopeful of a finish here - Tsushima's supporters are on their feet, screaming for him to go for the rear naked choke.

Samuels shoots in and bounces Tsushima off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.
Tsushima is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
Tsushima pulls Samuels in close to prevent any damage.
Samuels pushes down on Tsushima's leg and manages to get into half guard.

Sam Samuels comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I think Tsushima has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
