Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Mason Martin (ranked 5865 p4p, 6650 weight class) and Snappy Johnson (ranked 86 p4p, 100 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Snappy Johnson!

Martin shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Martin tries to clinch but Johnson is having none of it.
Johnson is loading up here, looking for a big counter of his own.

Martin really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Martin fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Johnson, pushing him back against the cage.
Martin is trying to push Johnson away but Johnson has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere.
Martin tries to score a body lock takedown but Johnson shows good agility there to stay on his feet.

Johnson unleashes a big counter combination but Martin bobs and weaves and avoids any damage.

Martin shoots in looking for a takedown but Johnson manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Martin's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.

Martin decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.

Johnson is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Johnson is staying active underneath Martin, who seems content to just control the action from this position.
Martin thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Johnson's head.
Johnson is looking to control Martin's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Johnson avoid being mounted?

Martin stands up from half guard... He's had enough of that ground malarky for the time being.
Martin tries to clinch but Johnson is having none of it.

Johnson keeps the fight on the outside.

Johnson looked like he wanted to counter with a punch but didn't throw it.
Martin shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Johnson defends it nicely.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.

Johnson lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Martin circles away quickly and effectively.

Martin shoots for a double leg takedown but Johnson sprawls well. He's pushed Martin's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

Martin walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush.

Martin closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Martin lands in his opponent's guard.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Johnson is pushing down on Martin's leg trying to pass to half guard. Martin is fighting to maintain full guard but Johnson has managed to sneak the leg through.

Snappy Johnson showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! And we move into the final round!

Martin shoots for a double leg takedown but Johnson sprawls well. He's pushed Martin's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Johnson is trying to counter with his kicks.
Martin closes the distance and clinches up with Johnson, looking for a takedown. Martin pushes Johnson against the cage but Johnson circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Johnson drops down looking to force a counter takedown but Martin defends it well.
Martin throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Johnson's waist but Johnson gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Martin off to one side.

And Johnson tries to counter it with a takedown but Martin pushes his down on his head and steps out.
Martin wants to clinch up but Johnson keeps it at a distance.
Johnson steps in looking to counter with the mid kick but it doesn't connect.
Martin shoots in and drives through. Johnson sprawls well.

Mason Martin seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

and Johnson counters with a lovely straight right hand!
Martin moves out of range as Johnson throws a body kick.
Johnson clobbers Martin with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.

This has been an exciting period of action!

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Snappy Johnson is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight.
