Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Kao Toan (ranked 3294 p4p, 5841 weight class) and Stefan Andersson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Kao Toan looks tired to me. Hopefully he has got enough gas left in the tank to put in a good performance.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 3 - 6 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Kao Toan! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Stefan Andersson! The judges for this bout are Daniel Franklin, Santiago Holmes and Sandra Marshall.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! The bell rings for round one and we are underway! A looping hook to the body misses from Andersson. Toan does a little dance to reset his feet. As Andersson tries to get set, Toan tries to push him back and clinch up but Andersson manages to avoid the attempt. Andersson throws out a token jab with nothing on it. Toan shoots in looking for a takedown. Andersson tries to sprawl out of it but Toan keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Andersson manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. And Andersson tries to counter it with a takedown but Toan pushes his down on his head and steps out. Stefan Andersson seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Toan ducks under a wild hook from Andersson. It looked like Toan was looking amped, ready to throw a big counter but didn't commit. Andersson throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Toan was covering up waiting for the punch and Andersson finishes the takedown easily into guard. Toan looking to control.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Andersson lands a couple of decent looking shots. Andersson must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. Andersson content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
That's one minute gone in the round. Andersson stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Toan swivels though and keeps the full guard. Hammerfist, elbow! yells Andersson's corner. There ya go! There ya go! Toan is breathing heavily. Andersson slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard. Andersson trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Andersson cracks Toan with a solid left hand. Hammerfist, elbow! yells Andersson's corner. There ya go! There ya go! Andersson distracts Toan with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm. Andersson is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound. Andersson postures up from his opponent's guard, before exploding into some vicious ground and pound! Toan covers up, he's hurt! Andersson keeps throwing the strikes, glancing at the referee... Will he stop it?? One more big shot from Andersson and the ref steps in to end the fight! Andersson can't hide his delight as he celebrates with his corner.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:57 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Stefan Andersson! Stefan Andersson decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
