Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jimmy Dixon (ranked 3620 p4p, 5539 weight class) and Johnny McCain (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

McCain slips a straight right by Dixon.
We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that McCain has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat.
McCain shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
and Dixon cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Johnny McCain seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Dixon gets caught flat footed, as McCain shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.
McCain advances to half guard.
McCain is looking to advance position but Dixon won't allow it.
Dixon is defending against the submission attempts here by McCain.
McCain tries to pass to full mount but Dixon defends it.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
McCain is trying for a kimura here. Dixon looks like he's in a lot of pain... and he's tapping out! McCain wins by kimura!

In his post fight interview, Johnny McCain started talking himself up. Luckily his charisma kept the crowd on side and gave him a good reception.
