Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Luke Neil (ranked 503 p4p, 1950 weight class) and Lors Loria (ranked 77 p4p, 287 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

Loria has been working on his striking defense in training and it's paying off as Neil is landing a low percentage of strikes.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Loria can do anything to dispel that myth.

Neil is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Loria is just riding it out for now. Neil eventually gives up the hold.

Loria is looking for a sweep. Neil is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.
Loria walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush.
Neil scores with a jab to the body.
Neil connects with an inside leg kick.
Loria ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Neil moves away.
Loria throws a sloppy head kick and Neil moves out of range easily.
Neil throws a big counter combination but Loria scrambles out of danger and avoids any damage.
Loria takes one on the button.
Neil lands a jab to the nose.
Neil keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Neil lands a really nice looking cross but Loria seems unphased.
Loria's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Neil connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Loria scrambles back to his feet.
Loria tries to close the distance and clinch up but Neil swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Neil shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Neil was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Neil controls the position.
Neil landing strikes.
Loria tries to slip a leg under to move to half guard but Neil presses down on the leg and jumps into full mount!
Loria is looking to get to half guard.
Loria takes a big shot to the head but keeps on trying to improve his position.
Neil pausing momentarily but resumes with a couple of decent strikes that do a bit of damage.
Loria is rocked!
Neil controlling the pace for now.
Loria is still in real trouble! Can Neil finish him?
Neil lands with some vicious ground and pound - can Loria hang on?
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
Neil is in full mount looking to finish with strikes. He lands a big shot, followed by another and Loria goes limp! The ref jumps in to end the fight - a big win for Neil!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:20 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Strikes). Luke Neil!
