Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between D Lo Brown (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Senki Gudo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Brown's entrance music is Drunken Lullabies. A fine choice. Gudo is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by The best intro ever. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Shigeki Fujiwara, Ren Mimura and Tatsuya Matsuyama.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A jab from Brown misses.
Gudo fails to land the takedown.
Nice uppercut lands for Brown. That snapped Gudo's head back.
No joy there for Gudo, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Gudo throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Gudo tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Brown swivels and escapes.
Brown lands a jab followed by a nice looking cross.
A combination from Brown does no damage.
Brown bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Gudo's head backwards.

and Gudo counters with a nice double leg into side control. Brown won't be happy with that.
The strikes coming from Gudo are missing the target in this wave of attacks.

Gudo misses with a strike but at least he's keeping busy, looking to cause some damage - that will still help him when it comes to the judges scorecards.
Gudo scores with a couple of nice shots to the head there. The referee takes a look at Brown to see if he's OK.

Brown tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Gudo wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.

Brown knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Gudo on the ground.

Gudo is trying to ground and pound but Brown uses the momentary lack of control by Gudo to regain half guard.

Brown clobbers Gudo with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.

Gudo lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Brown circles away quickly and effectively.
Gudo shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Brown pinned against the cage. Brown gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.

enabling Gudo to counter with a crisp jab.

Gudo misses with a few strikes there.

Brown sizes up Gudo with a pawing jab and scores with a straight right down the middle.

The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

and Brown counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Gudo's guard now.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Brown tries to bum rush Gudo with a series of wild strikes but Gudo uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Gudo fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Brown sprawls well initially but Gudo persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
Brown is pressing down on Gudo's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it.
Brown controls Gudo momentarily but Gudo frees himself.

Senki Gudo has got the better of the ground game so far.
Gudo working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Brown doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Brown manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Gudo is trying to keep Brown in close.
Gudo manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Brown manages to get himself to full guard.
Gudo wants to pass the guard but Brown is keeping the position.

Gudo drops back, looking for a kneebar! Brown looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Brown looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Brown!

That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. This is the final round!

Brown jabs Gudo right on the nose. Gudo blinks but takes it well.

Brown stalks Gudo and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Gudo's face. Gudo staggers backwards, shaken.
Gudo takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.
Gudo dodges the punch combination from Brown.
Brown thows a body shot but no joy.
Brown misses with a double jab.
Gudo lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Brown circles away quickly and effectively.
Gudo shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Brown's guard.
Brown pulls Gudo in close to prevent any damage.
Gudo controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

You can see the frustration on Brown's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
Gudo is pausing for a moment. What's he doing? It looks like he's clearing his nose. Oh dude! He's shot a load of snot all down Brown's shoulder. That is not cool.
Gudo connects with a decent looking elbow from side control that caused Brown some visible discomfort.

Brown is not content to let Gudo control the position.
Gudo takes a little break here. Brown wants to take advantage but he is being controlled well.
Gudo looking to punish the body of his opponent here but Brown is avoiding damage well.

Senki Gudo comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I think Gudo has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
