With a record of 27 - 14 - 0, fighting out of New York, Jean-Claude Marceau! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 20 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Jeremy Jones! The judges for this bout are James Glass, William Gold and Donald Grub.

Marceau avoids a lazy jab quite easily. Nice defenses there by Marceau. Marceau was looking to counter that move with a punch but didn't quite pull the trigger. Marceau lands a nice hook to Jones's body. Jones takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes. Marceau throws a looping overhand right but Jones ducks down to avoid it.

Jones swings away with a counter right hand but no contact made. Marceau definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Jones avoids the body shot from Marceau.

On paper you would think he is the more dominant ground fighter so let's see if these unusual tactics pay off. A big right from Marceau misses. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. A head kick misses from Marceau. Marceau tries to bum rush Jones with a series of wild strikes but Jones uses good footwork to avoid the assault. He thinks about going to the ground but Marceau looks back up at him and smiles so Jones waves him back to his feet - he obviously thinks he can knock him out after that shot landed.
Marceau is rocked! Jones throws a monster overhand right that drops Marceau! Jones follows up with more strikes from mount and the fight is all over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:55 of round 3, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Jeremy Jones! Jeremy Jones was full of energy after the big win and talked about how he thinks he can do big things in this sport. The crowd were appreciative of his determination to succeed.
