Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between My Fighter (ranked 24522 p4p, 5900 weight class) and Poison Ivy (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Poison Ivy told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 0 - 3 - 0, fighting out of New York, My Fighter! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Poison Ivy! The judges for this bout are Eddie Farnsworth, Dean Styles and Steve Montenegro.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! The bell rings for round one and we are underway! We've got one fighter who appears to only be looking to counter and the other not looking particularly aggressive either, so we could be in for a dull fight. Ivy fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Fighter to the ground. Ivy is now in Fighter's guard. Fighter is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Ivy is controlling him. Ivy would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard. Fighter wants to stand but Ivy is controlling the position. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Ivy tries to stand but Fighter is controlling from the bottom.
That's one minute gone in the round. Fighter is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Ivy looks to score with a jab to the body but Fighter is just out of range. A telegraphed takedown attempt from Fighter is defended easily by Ivy.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Fighter fails with a takedown attempt. Ivy throws a counter combo. Fighter misses with a takedown attempt - Ivy sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses. Ivy unleashes a big counter combination but Fighter bobs and weaves and avoids any damage. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for My Fighter. That's going to take a lot out of him.
That's three minutes gone in the round. No luck for Ivy with that takedown attempt. Fighter is looking to counter with a body kick. Fighter throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Ivy's waist but Ivy gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Fighter off to one side. Ivy thinks about the counter body kick. Ivy shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat. Ivy is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Ivy stands up from Fighter's guard - Ivy perhaps looking for a knockout. Fighter tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Ivy swivels and escapes. Ivy fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Fighter avoids it really well and circles away. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Poison Ivy dominated that round. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.
Ivy shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat. Ivy has been the more effective fighter overall so far. Fighter is scooting his butt against the cage and has managed to get back to his feet. Ivy presses him back against the cage, presumably looking to take the fight back to the mat. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Ivy wants to break free but Fighter has control.
Ivy looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now.
That's one minute gone in the round. Ivy pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Ivy manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Fighter on his heels. He'll look to pass Fighter's guard now, I'm sure. Fighter has butterfly guard. He's looking to stand up here. He pushes Ivy off him and springs to his feet nicely. The crowd applauds. Fighter tries for a takedown but Ivy sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily. Horrible takedown attempt by Fighter or perhaps it was just good defense by Ivy, which made it look bad. Ivy counters with a body kick.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Ivy shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Fighter is trying to defend but Ivy finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Ivy is thwarting Fighter's attempts to control the position.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Ivy wants to stand but Fighter has hold of a leg and an arm, so he's trapped for now. Ivy has freed up his trapped foot and advances to mount. Ivy controlling the pace for now.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! You get the feeling that Fighter really doesn't like being in this position too much.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close second round but Poison Ivy will probably get the nod - 10:9. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! Let's hear some noise people - this is the final round! Fighter throws a front kick that sends Ivy stumbling back into the cage. Fighter shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Ivy as he jumps to the side. Ivy fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Fighter avoids it really well and circles away.
That's one minute gone in the round. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Fighter tries for a takedown but Ivy sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily. Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world. Ivy stuffs the takedown attempt from Fighter. Fighter gets slowly back to his feet. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for My Fighter. That's going to take a lot out of him. Fighter shoots in for a takedown but Ivy shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action. Ivy rushes Fighter and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch. Ivy pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Fighter shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Ivy pinned against the cage. Ivy gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. Both fighters are breathing heavily. Fighter takes a nasty kick to the mid section... That should keep him thinking. Does he try and block and risk a head kick landing?
That's three minutes gone in the round. Fighter shoots in looking for a takedown but Ivy manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Fighter's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away. Ivy replies with a solid counter kick to the body but Fighter blocks it well. Ivy scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice. Ivy decides to stand back up. Ivy steps back and let's Fighter get back to his feet.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Ivy shoots in looking for a takedown. Fighter tries to sprawl out of it but Ivy keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Fighter manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. And Fighter counters with a quick kick to the body but Ivy blocks it. My Fighter has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Poison Ivy is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight. Ivy darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.
And that's the end of the fight! Poison Ivy comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Ivy has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
