Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Wallace Cobb (ranked 60 p4p, 280 weight class) and Spencer Rubenstein (ranked 12 p4p, 50 weight class). Cobb's entrance music is Where's Wallace?. A fine choice. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 22 - 6 - 0, fighting out of London, Wallace Cobb!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 22 - 14 - 0, fighting out of New York, Spencer Rubenstein!
The judges for this bout are Paul Tew, William Gold and Richard Clark.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Cobb connects with a body shot.
Rubenstein misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Cobb.
Rubenstein throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Rubenstein is looking to land body kicks.
Cobb has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance.
Rubenstein ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Cobb moves away.
Rubenstein throws a sloppy head kick and Cobb moves out of range easily.
Spencer Rubenstein seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Rubenstein blocks a jab.
Cobb scores with a hook.
Rubenstein tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Rubenstein has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout.
Cobb uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Rubenstein.

Cobb manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Rubenstein manages to get himself to full guard.

Rubenstein is refusing to be controlled, as Cobb sits in half guard.
Cobb prevents Rubenstein from standing back up.
Rubenstein is using up a lot of energy trying to get back to his feet. Perhaps he should improve his position first.
We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.

Cobb's corner calls for a 1-2. Cobb obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range.
Cobb jabs Rubenstein to the body, keeping him at a distance.

Rubenstein tries to clinch but Cobb moves away
and Cobb counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.

Rubenstein forces Cobb back against the cage and clinches.
Cobb lands with a quick shot inside that doesn't really do much damage.
Cobb tries to work over Rubenstein's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target.

Rubenstein manages to break the clinch.
Cobb takes a shot to the eye socket. That's gotta hurt.
Rubenstein moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body.
Rubenstein throws a hook but Cobb blocks it.
Cobb connects with a good right hand that stumbles Rubenstein. Rubenstein circles away out of range and recomposes himself.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

Spencer Rubenstein dominated that round.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.

Cobb misses with a hook.
Cobb keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.

It seemed like Rubenstein was going to counter with the hook but didn't fully commit to it.
Cobb avoids the head kick by Rubenstein.
Rubenstein throws a series of punches but Cobb moves out of range.
Rubenstein has been the more effective fighter overall so far.

Cobb uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Rubenstein.
Cobb will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Spencer Rubenstein seems to be getting the better of the standup.

Cobb closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.

Rubenstein throws his opponent off and manages to get back to his feet! Nicely done!
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Cobb tries for a takedown but Rubenstein manages to get underhooks.
Rubenstein has had enough of the clinch but Cobb keeps him there for the moment.

Rubenstein's head jolts backwards as he takes an uppercut right on the button!

Rubenstein breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.

Oooooh!!! Cobb has knocked Rubenstein down with a huge combo! Cobb steps away and waves a wobbly Rubenstein back to his feet! This one might not go much longer!

Cobb lands a big head kick that sends Rubenstein to the canvas! Cobb follows up with strikes from the mount that forces the ref to step in and stop the fight!

A relieved looking Wallace Cobb thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
