Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Hiro Manowaru (ranked 15 p4p, 53 weight class) and Franck Kodjia (ranked 1 p4p, 3 weight class). Manowaru comes to the cage accompanied by Lay Down. Franck Kodjia has the eye of the tiger tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the super heavyweight championship of the world! Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 30 - 9 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Hiro Manowaru! And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 22 - 13 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Franck Kodjia! The judges for this bout are Sam Margolis, Phil Schofield and Steven Brown.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! The fighters circling - Kodjia throws out the jab but it was never going to land. Kodjia takes a push kick to the midsection and stumbles backwards. Kodjia throws an off balance right hand
and Manowaru counters with a low kick, right behind Kodjia 's knee. Manowaru lands a nice looking body shot.
Kodjia looks winded! Manowaru scores with a sloppy right hand. Kodjia should have avoided that one.
It looks like Franck Kodjia has been cut. Kodjia scores with a big left there. The judges will like that one. Kodjia connects with a high kick. Kodjia throws an ugly left hook that misses
and Manowaru counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt. Manowaru scoring well with a low kick there.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Manowaru moves into range and lands a nice leg kick. Manowaru throws out a token jab with nothing on it. Kodjia moves out of range of the body kick.
That's one minute gone in the round. Manowaru connects with the punch. Manowaru thuds his shin into the meat of Kodjia's side. Manowaru just misses with a punch to the body.
Kodjia swings away with a counter right hand but no contact made. Kodjia on the receiving end of a decent leg kick there by Manowaru. Manowaru obviously looking to wear him down.
Kodjia tries to clinch up but Manowaru circles away and keeps his distance. Manowaru comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range. Manowaru connects with a good right hand that stumbles Kodjia. Kodjia circles away out of range and recomposes himself. Manowaru lands with a cross. Kodjia misses with a right hand and Manowaru scores with a counter punch that sends Kodjia to the canvas! Manowaru smells blood - he's punishing Kodjia with more strikes and the ref has stopped it! Kodjia has no idea where he is - he's tackled the ref... oh dear, poor guy, the crowd is in hysterics!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:56 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Hiro Manowaru! Hiro Manowaru retains his super heavyweight title! Hiro Manowaru seemed lost for words in his post fight interview but he remembered to thank his fans and directed everyone to his website.
