Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Sora Takeuchi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Rampage Smith (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Smith has chosen Swagger Like Mine as his entrance music. Rampage Smith will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Smith tries to clinch but Takeuchi is having none of it.

Takeuchi shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Takeuchi showed some decent athleticism there.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Takeuchi is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.
Smith wants to get back to his feet.
Takeuchi trying to pass the guard but Smith defending well.

Takeuchi is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
Takeuchi throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage.

Takeuchi is trying to work for a kimura. He's got his hands clasped together - this could be trouble! No, Smith has managed to free his arm - good work.

Takeuchi is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Smith defends it well.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
The fight stays on the outside here - Smith looks like he's thinking about clinching though.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.

Takeuchi shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away.
Takeuchi wants to control the pace but Smith is squirming around nicely.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Smith can do anything to dispel that myth.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Takeuchi is remaining active here, looking for the choke. The more discerning members of the crowd will appreciate his efforts.
Smith has the hand control, trying to stop the rear naked choke.
Takeuchi is controlling the position but Smith somehow manages to roll and ends up with half guard.
Takeuchi tries to pass the half guard into mount. Smith knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.

Takeuchi is working for a kimura but Smith is defending it quite comfortably.
Takeuchi seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Smith does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.
Takeuchi takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.
Smith is in trouble now - Takeuchi has advanced to mount!

Takeuchi is in full mount, looking to secure a guillotine but Smith is surviving well by controlling Takeuchi's body position as best he can.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Takeuchi landing strikes from the mount.

Takeuchi is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Smith doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Takeuchi.

Takeuchi has freed up his trapped foot and advances to mount.
Smith really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Takeuchi. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Takeuchi moves into side control, trying to work for a kimura. That looks painful! Will he finish!!?? No, Smith has worked his arm free - good work by Smith!

Smith managing to avoid any damage from the strikes thrown by Takeuchi.
Smith is trying to stand back up. He's worked his way up against the cage but Takeuchi has just dragged him back down to the mat.
Smith regains half guard, as Takeuchi was trying to land strikes.
Takeuchi passes to full mount!
Takeuchi trying to control but he's not successful this time.

Takeuchi wants to finish this one by submission but Smith is holding onto his waist, trying to prevent any attacks from Takeuchi.

Smith wriggling around on the bottom manages to avoid the strikes thrown by Takeuchi.

Takeuchi is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Smith can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.
A nice elbow there by Takeuchi.

Smith has left one of his arms exposed and Takeuchi doesn't need a second invitation. He's isolated it and locked on a tight armbar. Smith screams and taps out, obviously in a lot of pain. Hopefully there isn't permanent damage to that arm.
