Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Wacco Longbardo (ranked 2087 p4p, 2533 weight class) and Leyte Gulf (ranked 278 p4p, 323 weight class). Gulf has chosen For Heavy Metal we will die! as his entrance music. On his way into the cage it seems that Wacco Longbardo has been attacked by a crazed fan! It looks like it might have been the just bleed guy! Luckily Wacco Longbardo seems to be OK! I thought that lunatic was in prison!?

Longbardo's corner calls for a 1, 2 combination and Longbardo duly obliges.
Longbardo misses with a head kick.
Gulf tries a counter takedown but it's more of a dummy move, and he uses it to push himself away.
We've been hearing reports that Longbardo has been drilling takedowns in recent sessions so let's see if that has an impact on the result of this fight.
Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Longbardo.
Gulf keeps the fight on the outside.
Longbardo looks for the body kick but Gulf saw that one coming.
Longbardo swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
Gulf drops down looking to force a counter takedown but Longbardo defends it well.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Longbardo lands a nice leg kick that just misses Gulf's sensitive parts.
Gulf has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout.
A decent looking body kick lands there for Longbardo.

Longbardo tries to clinch but Gulf moves out of range.

Longbardo drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.
Gulf wings away with a couple of strikes but they don't land.
Gulf avoids any damage from the ground and pound of Longbardo.

Gulf tries to buck Longbardo off but Longbardo is having none of it.

Longbardo wants to lay and pray for a moment but Gulf keeps working.
Longbardo cracks Gulf with an elbow. That is naaassty.

Longbardo is working to tighten his grip on Gulf's neck. He's isolated an arm and is working for an arm triangle. Gulf has recognised the danger and is trying to turn with the submission but Longbardo is really squeezing tight and eventually Gulf passes out! Longbardo breaks the hold and jumps onto the cage to celebrate! Submission of the night, I'd say!
