Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Robert Pochonkii (ranked 4800 p4p, 5464 weight class) and Fusta Supliar (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Robert Pochonkii! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Fusta Supliar! The judges for this bout are Steve Erwin, Summer Carpenter and Darius Henderson.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Pochonkii blocks a head kick by Supliar.
Supliar tests Pochonkii's chin there with a solid looking shot. Pochonkii shoots for a double leg takedown but Supliar sprawls well. He's pushed Pochonkii's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. A telegraphed takedown attempt from Pochonkii is defended easily by Supliar. Supliar unleashes a big counter combination but Pochonkii bobs and weaves and avoids any damage. Supliar throws a lazy head kick and he gets countered with a snapping leg kick. Pochonkii defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Supliar. Pochonkii gets tackled into the cage by Supliar. Supliar maintains the clinch. Pochonkii lands a shot to the body. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Pochonkii jumps guard but Supliar stands there with Pochonkii around his waist. Pochonkii gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Robert Pochonkii. That's going to take a lot out of him. Supliar is trying to pull guard but Pochonkii has him pressed against the cage. Pochonkii just leaning against Supliar, taking a breather.

Supliar trying to control the position from guard on top but Pochonkii is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Pochonkii looking to control.
Supliar wants to pass the guard but Pochonkii is keeping the position. Pochonkii not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Supliar must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. Pochonkii looking to hit a scissor sweep but Supliar is one step ahead there. Supliar is fighting to break Pochonkii's control of his arms but Pochonkii is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Pochonkii looking for a sweep. Not yet Pochonkii, not yet. We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Supliar throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Pochonkii's waist but Pochonkii gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Supliar off to one side. Supliar scores with a hook. Pochonkii closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Supliar quickly recovers to half guard. Supliar manages to create a bit of space in order to work his way back to his feet. Pochonkii keeps hold of his opponent and drives him back against the cage. Pochonkii pulls Supliar into guard.
Supliar wants to pass the guard but Pochonkii is keeping the position. Pochonkii looking to sweep here. No luck so far. Pochonkii will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Pochonkii is working hard here to advance position. Pochonkii looking to control the pace of the fight rather than finish it. Supliar preventing the sweep. Pochonkii can't keep his opponent in guard - Supliar advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount. Supliar wants to control but Pochonkii is keeping him busy.
That's four minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. Supliar missing with the ground and pound from half guard. Supliar thows a huge punch but Pochonkii dodges it nicely.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Pochonkii is positioning himself well to prevent Supliar advancing to mount. The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace. Pochonkii pushes Supliar off looking to stand but Supliar dives back in and keeps control.
The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. Nice sprawl there from Supliar as Pochonkii shoots in. Supliar throws a counter combo. Pochonkii misses with a takedown attempt - Supliar sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Pochonkii leaves Supliar with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Fusta Supliar dominated that round. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. Pochonkii shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Supliar defends it nicely. Pochonkii misses with a takedown and Supliar counters with a two punch combo. Supliar closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage. Supliar has been the more effective fighter overall so far. Pochonkii prevents a takedown attempt there.
Pochonkii breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Pochonkii throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.

Supliar slips a jab and a cross from Pochonkii.
Supliar steps in looking to counter with the mid kick but it doesn't connect. Supliar throws a head kick that misses.
That's one minute gone in the round. Pochonkii closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Supliar to the mat! Supliar manages to get full guard. Pochonkii wants to control from the top but Supliar keeps moving. Pochonkii engaging in some classic timewasting tactics. Pochonkii being controlled here momentarily. Pochonkii postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Supliar throwing his legs up looking for a triangle.
Pochonkii postures up and lands some nice ground and pound. Supliar avoiding any damage from the ground and pound. Pochonkii tries to free his leg and advance position but Supliar is retaining full guard. The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet. Pochonkii distracts Supliar with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm. Pochonkii decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Supliar, up you get! Pochonkii is looking to clinch. Pochonkii wants to clinch.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Pochonkii throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Supliar tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Pochonkii is in Supliar's guard. Pochonkii postures up in Supliar's guard and throws a big left but Supliar blocks it. Pochonkii really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. Pochonkii working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage. Pochonkii not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up. Pochonkii works a leg free and moves into half guard. Supliar tries to roll over but Pochonkii keeps him under control. Pochonkii seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Supliar does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Pochonkii prevents Supliar from standing back up.
Pochonkii is trying to control the action in half guard but Supliar is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard. Pochonkii sitting and controlling from the half guard. Supliar is trying to get back to full guard.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Supliar is breathing heavily. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Pochonkii displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Supliar. Pochonkii doesn't manage to clinch there - Supliar circles away.
Supliar changes levels for a counter takedown but doesn't follow through with his attempt. Pochonkii shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Pochonkii was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure! And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Robert Pochonkii dominated that second round. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business. This is the final round!
Pochonkii moves into the clinch successfully.
Pochonkii tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Supliar smiles and moves away.
Pochonkii closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth. Supliar bucks up and tries to throw Pochonkii off but instead Pochonkii has got his back! Robert Pochonkii overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Supliar is defending well here and trying to improve his position.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Pochonkii scores with punches and elbows. Watch the back of the head! Comes the shout from the referee towards Pochonkii.
That's one minute gone in the round. Pochonkii has got one arm under Supliar's chin. This could be trouble... Supliar trying to control the other hand but Pochonkii gets it free and sqeezes tight - just a matter of time now! Yep, Supliar has tapped out! The fight is over!
