Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Jake Summers (ranked 2095 p4p, 4018 weight class) and TJ Kool (ranked 256 p4p, 467 weight class). I don't know about you partner, but I'm pumped for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 3 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Jake Summers! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 2 - 3 - 0, fighting out of London, TJ Kool! The judges for this bout are Frank Antenori, Don Winkell and Percy O'Donnell.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! The bell rings for round one and we are underway! The fight stays on the outside here - Kool looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Kool tries to clinch but Summers moves out of range. Kool is looking to take this fight into the clinch. A counter left hand to the body from Summers misses its target. Summers throws a hook to the side of Kool's head but Kool sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully. Kool's coach down at Paris & Sons Training Yard was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Kool's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight. A slow jab from Summers misses its intended target. Kool misses with a lunging right hand
and Summers counters with a nice uppercut. Kool shoots and misses and Summers makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Summers avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Summers is looking to counter with a shot to the body. Summers throws a hook but Kool blocks it. Kool drives through and clinches with Summers against the cage.

TJ Kool seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Summers keeps the fight on the outside. Kool fails in his attempt to clinch. Summers throws a jab but it's blocked by Kool. Kool slips a straight right by Summers. Kool tries to clinch and Summers counters with a left to the body. Kool shoots and misses and Summers counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head. Summers throws a hook to the side of Kool's head but Kool sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully. Kool is looking to take this fight into the clinch. Summers swung with a counter right hand that didn't connect. Kool wants to clinch.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Kool shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Summers sprawls well. Summers wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Kool gets slowly back to his feet. Jake Summers has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of TJ Kool. Kool displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Summers throws out the jab. Summers keeps the fight on the outside. A looping hook to the body misses from Kool. Summers does a little dance to reset his feet. Summers fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done. Kool tries for a takedown but Summers sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily. Kool tries to clinch up and Summers cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.

Kool is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though. Kool tries to throw a body punch but Summers avoids it by throwing Kool back against the cage. Kool is struggling to control the position. Kool misses with a punch on the inside.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Kool working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Summers doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Summers manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. Summers knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Kool on the ground. Summers tries to free his leg and advance position but Kool is retaining full guard. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Jake Summers dominated that round. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. Kool closes the distance looking to clinch and Summers counters with a lovely straight right hand! Summers avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Kool is looking to take this fight into the clinch. Summers scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business. Jake Summers is winning the standup battle so far. Summers takes a swing at Kool's ribcage but misses. As Summers backs off Kool throws a huge counter combo but Summers manages to avoid it all. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Kool tries to clinch but Summers moves away and Summers counters with a straight right hand. Kool tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. It looked like Summers wanted to counter with a hook but didn't fully commit. Kool closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Summers quickly recovers to half guard. Kool missing with some ground and pound from the half guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Kool trying to control the pace. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Kool trying to control from half guard but Summers is working away. Kool seems to be working for a kimura but Summers defends the submission attempt. Kool is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Summers is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. Summers is holding on to half guard well. Kool tries to pass the half guard into mount. Summers knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt. Kool is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.
Kool is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Summers avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Kool. Summers is looking for a sweep. Kool is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. Kool controlling the pace. Kool works his way into side control. Summers is letting Kool control him for a moment. Kool tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Kool has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!

TJ Kool showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! This is the final round! Kool tries to clinch but Summers moves out of range. Summers throwing a counter right hand but Kool manages to avoid it. Kool waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Summers. Summers was looking to counter that move with a punch but didn't quite pull the trigger. Kool rushes in with a sloppy looking punch

Kool will be more careful next time no doubt.

Jake Summers has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of TJ Kool. Kool changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Summers fights it off and pushes away nicely.

Kool tries to close the distance and clinch but Summers swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Kool shoots in for a double leg but Summers sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy. Kool tries to clinch but fails miserably enabling Summers to counter with a crisp jab. Kool looks to clinch and Summers counters with a lovely straight right hand! Summers avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
As Kool looks to move away, Summers throws a big counter combo but Kool just gets out of the way. Kool shoots for a double leg takedown but Summers sprawls well. He's pushed Kool's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. Summers is really head hunting here, hardly looking to strike to the body at all. Excellent takedown into side control there by Kool. Summers sneaks back into half guard.

Summers holds on for dear life, maintaining half guard for now. Summers tries to roll over but Kool keeps him under control. Kool thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas. Kool is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Summers has managed to free his arm - good work. Summers keeping control of the leg, stopping his opponent passing to mount.
And that's the end of the fight! Jake Summers showed his dominance in that final round. I think Summers has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.

In favor of your winner, by unanimous decision... Jake Summers! Jake Summers really struggled to get his t-shirt on before his hand was raised. Making sure that Concrete Clothing (Laundry Re Stock Coming Soon) logo gets some air time is pretty tricky when you're all sweaty.
