Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Trey Guarino (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tetsuya Nakashiba (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Nakashiba has chosen Moonlight Densetsu! as his entrance music. Tetsuya Nakashiba has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 7 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Trey Guarino!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Tetsuya Nakashiba!
The judges for this bout are Taro Takaoka, Kenichi Hosakawa and Sosuke Kotani.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nakashiba scores with a kick to the midsection.
Guarino ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Nakashiba moves away.
Guarino lands with an overhand left.
Guarino is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Nakashiba.
An inside leg kick lands from Nakashiba.
Nakashiba keeps the fight on the outside.
Guarino takes a head kick and shrugs it off.
Guarino keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Nakashiba throws a sloppy head kick and Guarino moves out of range easily.
Nakashiba throws a low kick but Guarino avoids it.
Nakashiba swats away the attempt to clinch by Guarino.
Guarino tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Nakashiba was well out of range. Poor timing from Guarino.
Guarino tries to clinch but Nakashiba is having none of it.
Nakashiba closes the distance looking to clinch

and Guarino counters with a shoot takedown into half guard.

That's one minute gone in the round.

Guarino seems to be working for a kimura but Nakashiba defends the submission attempt.
Nakashiba is on the bottom, trying to hold on to half guard. He's throwing a few small shots here, to keep his opponent honest.
Nakashiba is looking for a sweep. Guarino is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
Nakashiba is not content to let Guarino control the position.

Guarino is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.

Guarino is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Nakashiba doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Guarino.
Nakashiba is looking to improve his position.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.

Nakashiba looking to work for a kimura from the bottom.
Nakashiba tries to roll over but Guarino keeps him under control.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
Guarino tries to clinch there but Nakashiba circles away.

Guarino looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into mount! Oh, that's bad for Nakashiba!

Guarino jumps to the side looking to secure the arm triangle…. Ooooh, that looks tight… Nakashiba is gargling but he's managed to escape! Nice work there by Nakashiba and Guarino has given up the dominant position trying to land that submission.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Guarino is trying to get an arm triangle but Nakashiba is defending well.

That's three minutes gone in the round.

Guarino thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.
Guarino is breathing heavily.
Guarino is looking to take a break and control but Nakashiba is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

Guarino tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Nakashiba can't do much from the bottom here.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.

Guarino is trying to get an arm triangle but Nakashiba is defending well.
Nakashiba manages to land a sweep and he's now on top! Lovely Jiu Jitsu!
Nakashiba is pressing down on Guarino's thigh, looking to free his foot. Guarino is holding on for now.

Nakashiba is working for a kimura but Guarino is defending it quite comfortably.
Guarino blocking the ground and pound attempt from Nakashiba.
Guarino tries to get to full guard but Nakashiba has control of the leg.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Trey Guarino dominated that round.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.


Nakashiba misses with a takedown attempt
and Guarino counters with a thumping low kick.

Nakashiba gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Guarino to score an easy takedown into full guard.

Nakashiba has his foot on Guarino's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Guarino works his way back into a safe position though.
Guarino is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.
Nakashiba looking to sweep here. No luck so far.

Nakashiba looking for a guillotine here but Guarino defends easily.
Guarino trying to control the position from guard on top but Nakashiba is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Nakashiba is breathing heavily.
Guarino looking to sit in guard and control but Nakashiba gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.

That's one minute gone in the round.

Guarino is actively looking for submissions from his back. He's worked himself a little space on the bottom and seems to be going for a triangle. No, he's switched into an armbar! That was slick! Nakashiba rolls with it to try and escape but Guarino cranks on the arm and Nakashiba is forced to tap out! This one is aaaaaaaaall over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:27 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Armbar). Trey Guarino!
