Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Kyle Switzer (ranked 1639 p4p, 1475 weight class) and Hank Smith (ranked 228 p4p, 199 weight class). Switzer comes to the cage accompanied by The Rolling Stones - Street Fighting Man. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Smith ducks under a wild hook from Switzer.
Smith looks to clinch
and Switzer counters with a nice body shot.
Switzer lands three nice shots there - that looked like it hurt!
Smith darts in trying to clinch

We've been told by Switzer's head coaches at Iron Sharpens Iron that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight.
Smith throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Switzer sees it coming and avoids it easily.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Smith throws a series of punches but Switzer avoids them all with ease.

Switzer ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
It looked like Switzer wanted to counter with a hook but didn't fully commit.
Switzer lands a nice hook to Smith's body. Smith takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.

Switzer dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Smith. That did some damage!
Switzer takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.

Smith is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.

After the fight, Kyle Switzer was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.
