Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Rodriguo Silva (ranked 3188 p4p, 4850 weight class) and Fabricio Bettin (ranked 423 p4p, 541 weight class). Man, I cannot wait for this one!

Silva has a takedown stuffed.
Bettin's corner calls for a 1, 2 combination and Bettin duly obliges.

Bettin forces Silva back against the cage and clinches.

and Bettin counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body.

Bettin has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Silva wants to clinch.
Bettin scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Silva doesn't seem bothered though.

Silva shoots in but no luck this time.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Rodriguo Silva. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Bettin rushes Silva and presses him up against the cage.
Bettin is trying to push Silva away but Silva has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere.
Silva tries to pull guard but Bettin won't allow it.

Bettin breaks the clinch.
Bettin lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Bettin.
Bettin lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Silva at a distance.
Bettin swats away the attempt to clinch by Silva.
Silva misses with a shot to the body
and Bettin counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Silva throws a leg kick but Bettin sees it coming and checks it nicely.
Silva tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Bettin manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.

The fight moves into the clinch position.

Bettin scores with a one two! Silva had his feet all tangled up there and couldn't avoid the strikes.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Silva changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Bettin fights it off and pushes away nicely.
Silva doesn't manage to clinch there - Bettin circles away.
Bettin now looks to counter with a shot at the body.

A looping hook to the body misses from Silva. Bettin does a little dance to reset his feet.
A nice side step and Bettin releases a counter shot to the body, but it doesn't find it's home.
Bettin throws a series of strikes that have Silva backpedaling.
Silva takes a shot to the nose. Hopefully that hasn't broken it.

Bettin jabs Silva right on the nose. Silva blinks but takes it well.
Oh Silva is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Bettin wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.
Silva is breathing heavily.

Bettin rushes Silva and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.

Bettin escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.

Bettin drops Silva with a left and a right! Oh, Silva is hurt - Bettin dives into side control looking to finish!
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Silva tries to improve position but can't.
Bettin lands a strong strike to the head of Silva. That's dazed him! Bettin looking to finish here. Silva is waving his arms around trying to block but he's hurt badly - Bettin lands more strikes and the referee steps in to end the fight!
