Officer throws a looping overhand right but Mongrel ducks down to avoid it.
Warrant Officer seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

and Mongrel counters with a crisp one two that drops Officer! Mongrel thinks about following him to the mat for a moment but instead steps back and waves Officer to his feet! Officer is in big trouble!

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
I'm just looking down at my notes here and I see that.... oh! Mongrel has cracked Officer with a big right, followed by a left! He's out on his feet! Mongrel lands another huge swinging hook and Officer tumbles to the canvas! The ref dives in to save Officer, before Mongrel can land any more shots!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:35 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punches). John Mongrel!
John Mongrel is the new middleweight champion!
John Mongrel bigged himself up after the win. The crowd seemed to love it.
