Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Richard Hammond (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and John Vidal (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Vidal has chosen Dead End Countdown as his entrance music. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Richard Hammond!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, John Vidal!
The judges for this bout are Elvis Blanc, William Peck and Steve Smith.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hammond misses with a jab, cross combination.
Hammond throws a hook but Vidal blocks it.
A head kick from Vidal lands but Hammond takes it in his stride.

and Vidal counters with a nice leg kick.
Hammond tries to close the distance and clinch up but Vidal swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Vidal slips a jab and a cross from Hammond.
Vidal throws a head kick that half lands.
Hammond swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Vidal counters with a slapping leg kick.
Hammond closes the distance looking to clinch
and Vidal counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Hammond!
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Vidal trying to control but Hammond is having none of it.
Vidal wants to get back to his feet but Hammond is holding on tight.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Vidal might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Hammond kaven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.
Hammond knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Vidal on the ground.
Vidal is trying to stand up but he's being controlled by his opponent.
Vidal jumps to side control looking for an arm triangle but Hammond manages to avoid the submission attempt.
Vidal swings around for an armbar but Hammond sees it coming a mile off and turns beautifully into Vidal's guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Hammond content to stall in guard here.
Vidal has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Hammond can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
Vidal looking for a triangle here. Hammond is fighting it but it looks tight! Vidal pulls the arm across and this one won't last much longer! Nope, Hammond is tapping out - this one is all over!
