Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Mohammed Ruslanov (ranked 4514 p4p, 20480 weight class) and Marcelinho Lima (ranked 457 p4p, 550 weight class). I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that Marcelinho Lima was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 7 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Mohammed Ruslanov!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 11 - 19 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Marcelinho Lima!
The judges for this bout are Shigeki Fujiwara, Shirou Masuda and Tatsuya Matsuyama.

Lima changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Ruslanov tries to avoid it but Lima manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Ruslanov to the ground. Ruslanov escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Ruslanov definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

Lima stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.

That was a close round but I would say that Mohammed Ruslanov will probably get the nod.

Ruslanov stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Ruslanov wants it to stay on the feet.

A momentary lapse in concentration from Ruslanov enables Lima to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Ruslanov manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Marcelinho Lima showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

Lima closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.

Lima wants to lay and pray for a moment but Ruslanov keeps working.
Ruslanov parries the strikes from Lima easily there. Lima is wary of posturing up too much because it might enable Ruslanov to escape.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Lima misses with a strike but at least he's keeping busy, looking to cause some damage - that will still help him when it comes to the judges scorecards.

Lima wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Ruslanov, who protects the arm well.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Mohammed Ruslanov.
I think Ruslanov has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.

Mohammed Ruslanov decided to hype himself up post fight. It was going well but he went on about it a bit too long and the crowd turned on him a little.
