Horrible takedown attempt by Abreu or perhaps it was just good defense by Smith, which made it look bad.
Smith goes for a high kick. It partially lands.
Abreu tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Smith defends well and Abreu ends up having to push Smith into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.
Smith throws a big counter head kick but Abreu avoids it with no problem.

Abreu has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Smith avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Mika Abreu. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Smith is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Abreu gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt.

Smith has moved round to his opponent's back and is looking for a suplex! Oh snap! He's tossed Abreu clear over his head and slammed him to the mat!
Smith is trying to stick to Abreu's back but Abreu is turning into Smith. He's managed to reverse the position - now he's in Smith's guard. Polite applause from the crowd in appreciation of some nice Jiu Jitsu by Abreu.

Abreu tries for a kimura but Smith is defending well.

Smith manages to work his way to half guard, despite Abreu's best efforts.

Abreu is working for a submission here. He's got hold of the far side arm and he's looking for a kimura. He's cranking on the arm and he's got it! Smith is tapping out! Ouch, that looked like it hurt!
