Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Jorge Vidal (ranked 1597 p4p, 2631 weight class) and Tommy Shelby (ranked 240 p4p, 380 weight class). Vidal comes to the cage accompanied by Scarface OST - The world is yours. Fingers crossed for an exciting fight - I'm sure both fighters are looking for a nice under the table bonus!

Shelby clobbers Vidal with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.
Vidal moves into the clinch.
Vidal lands a nice knee to the body.
We've been hearing reports that Vidal has been drilling takedowns in recent sessions so let's see if that has an impact on the result of this fight.

Shelby pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Shelby bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Vidal's head.
A lazy left from Vidal finds it's target.
Vidal connects with a right hand. Shelby shakes it off.

Vidal lands a nice shot that snaps Shelby 's head back.
Vidal throws a nice looking combination but Shelby bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Shelby throws a body kick but he wasn't in range.
Vidal lands with a hook. Shelby tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head.
Vidal misses with a two punch combination.
Vidal closes the distance and pushes Shelby back into the cage.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Shelby is looking to control Vidal's arms but Vidal gets an underhook and turns him. Now Shelby has his back to the cage.

Wow, both these guys are really going for it!

and Vidal counters into the clinch. Nicely done.
Vidal breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Nice combo by Vidal! Oh, that's hurt him - Shelby falls to the canvas and Vidal follows him into side control.
A big shot lands for Vidal! That's hurt Shelby ! Will he recover? Vidal fires away with more strikes and the referee has to step in to stop the fight!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:31 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Jorge Vidal!
A relieved looking Jorge Vidal thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
