Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Dustin Sleeth (ranked 5183 p4p, 24641 weight class) and Patryk Mikolajczyk (ranked 505 p4p, 593 weight class). Patryk Mikolajczyk will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Dustin Sleeth ! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Patryk Mikolajczyk! The judges for this bout are Matti Vanhoillinen, Tarja Halkonen and Ben Zyskovitsi.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Sleeth changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Mikolajczyk looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better. Sleeth lands a decent elbow from side control. Sleeth has control of an arm but Mikolajczyk manages to advance to Sleeth 's back! Sleeth is trying to break free.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Mikolajczyk has his opponent's back and is working for the choke. Mikolajczyk not allowing Sleeth to control his hands. Sleeth looking very determined here, making life difficult for Mikolajczyk.
Sleeth is defending well here and trying to improve his position.
Sleeth is trying to stand back up. Mikolajczyk goes for a risky armbar from back mount and it's not paid off. Sleeth escapes and is now in half guard on top.
That's one minute gone in the round. Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Sleeth in particular looking to stall. Mikolajczyk wants to get back to full guard. Sleeth stands up and beckons Mikolajczyk to join him on the feet. Sleeth takes a head kick and keeps coming.

Mikolajczyk trying to control but Sleeth is working from the bottom. Sleeth has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Mikolajczyk can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. Sleeth looking to hit a scissor sweep but Mikolajczyk is one step ahead there. Sleeth pulls Mikolajczyk in close to his closed guard and prevents Mikolajczyk from doing any damage or advancing position. Mikolajczyk trying to control but Sleeth is working from the bottom. Sleeth is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle. Mikolajczyk must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Sleeth controlling the position. Sleeth lands a beautiful sweep and he's now moved into his opponent's guard. Sleeth with a flurry of punches that miss. Mikolajczyk wants to sweep but no luck. Sleeth trying to control the position from guard on top but Mikolajczyk is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Mikolajczyk is trying to control the position but Sleeth postures up.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Sleeth content to stall in guard here. Mikolajczyk is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Sleeth passes easily into side control. Nice work. Sleeth decides to stand back up. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Mikolajczyk throws a head kick that misses. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Dustin Sleeth dominated that round. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! Sleeth throws a right and a left that Mikolajczyk avoids nicely. Sleeth tries to land a front kick but Mikolajczyk steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed. Mikolajczyk tries a head kick but it misses.
Sleeth on the receiving end of a decent leg kick there by Mikolajczyk. Mikolajczyk obviously looking to wear him down.
Sleeth is looking to take this fight into the clinch. Mikolajczyk moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Sleeth showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Mikolajczyk.
Sleeth shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Mikolajczyk defends it nicely.
That's one minute gone in the round. Sleeth drives through with a takedown into Mikolajczyk's guard. Let's see what he can do from the top position. Mikolajczyk is wriggling around but Sleeth manages to pass to half guard.
Mikolajczyk wants to get back to full guard but Sleeth has passed into side control. Sleeth trying to control the position but Mikolajczyk is working away.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Mikolajczyk looks to move to half guard but instead Sleeth has passed into mount! Damn! Sleeth landing strikes from the mount and Mikolajczyk is in trouble! Sleeth looking to finish Mikolajczyk with some ground and pound. This is bad for Mikolajczyk! Sleeth controlling the pace for now. Sleeth with a couple of short strikes. Mikolajczyk is looking to get to half guard. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Sleeth looking to control and managing it successfully.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Sleeth cracks Mikolajczyk with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.
Sleeth can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Mikolajczyk is looking to escape. Sleeth controlling from the full mount. Sleeth looking to secure an arm triangle but Mikolajczyk defends it well.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Mikolajczyk tries to hold on but Sleeth postures up. Mikolajczyk can't escape the position.
Sleeth punishing his opponent with strikes. Sleeth landing shots from mount. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Mikolajczyk is looking to get to half guard. Mikolajczyk really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Sleeth . If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Sleeth scores with a couple of good head shots there.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Dustin Sleeth dominated that second round. That's time! Back to the action! This is the final round! Mikolajczyk will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Sleeth clinches. Mikolajczyk blocks an elbow strike. Mikolajczyk will no doubt start fighting again in a minute but for now he's just having a little rest, leaning Sleeth up against the cage. Sleeth missing with knees to the body.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Sleeth 's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. A kick lands to the mid section there for Mikolajczyk. Dustin Sleeth seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Sleeth misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
That's one minute gone in the round. Sleeth fails with an attempt to clinch.
Sleeth fails with a takedown attempt. Sleeth avoids a kick to the body.
Sleeth throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Mikolajczyk sees it coming and avoids it easily. Mikolajczyk connects with an inside leg kick. Mikolajczyk lands with a nice body kick. The fight moves into the clinch position. Mikolajczyk makes some space for himself and lands an uppercut.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Mikolajczyk tries to pull guard but Sleeth forces him back to his feet, against the cage. Sleeth is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Mikolajczyk can do to turn this around? Sleeth escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Dustin Sleeth is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Mikolajczyk with a nice calf kick. Mikolajczyk tries to land a front kick but Sleeth steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed. Sleeth closes the distance and clinches. Sleeth content to slow the pace in the clinch.
Sleeth stalling here - the referee won't stand for too much of that.
The crowd are getting pretty annoyed with Sleeth for his constant stalling in the clinch and are voicing their displeasure. Mikolajczyk goes for a takedown in the clinch but Sleeth prevents it.
Sleeth manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Mikolajczyk won't allow Sleeth to sweep him here. Mikolajczyk wants to get up but he can't break Sleeth 's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here. Mikolajczyk trying to control the position from guard on top but Sleeth is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Sleeth wants to stand up but Mikolajczyk is controlling him. Mikolajczyk connects with a couple of short punches. Mikolajczyk postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head. Sleeth is scooting his butt against the cage and has managed to get back to his feet. Mikolajczyk presses him back against the cage, presumably looking to take the fight back to the mat. Sleeth tried to land a shot to the body but connects with Mikolajczyk's elbow. Mikolajczyk breaks the clinch.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Sleeth feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position. Both fighters are breathing heavily. Mikolajczyk looking to sweep here. No luck so far. Sleeth being controlled here momentarily. Sleeth controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling. Mikolajczyk is looking for a triangle but Sleeth pushes his legs off easily.
And that's the end of the fight! Dustin Sleeth showed his dominance in that final round. Well I reckon that's a shut out for Sleeth , winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
