PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Evan Duvernay (ranked 5549 p4p, 6499 weight class) and Trane Knox (ranked 534 p4p, 571 weight class). Knox has chosen Blue World | John Coltrane as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.

Knox throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Duvernay stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.

Duvernay clinches up with Knox and pushes him back against the cage.

I was talking to Duvernay's coach per-fight and he was telling me that they'd been working on the clinch in the runup to this fight.

Duvernay cracks Knox with a big right hand that sends him crashing to the floor. Duvernay has the opportunity to follow him to the ground but instead he's beckoning Knox to stand back up!

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Knox gets caught by a big overhand right and goes down! Duvernay gets on top of him and starts throwing some serious punches until the ref intervenes and stops the fight!
