The judges for this bout are Shigeki Fujiwara, Yuuki Gou and Taro Takaoka.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lebaron lands a head kick!
It looks like Jean Luc Lapierre has been cut.
A head kick lands from Lebaron that sends Lapierre to the canvas. Lapierre tries to scramble back to his feet but Lebaron brings him back down into side control.
Lapierre is rocked!
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Lebaron is looking to take a break and control but Lapierre is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Lapierre is still in real trouble! Can Lebaron finish him?
Lebaron tries to move to mount but Lapierre blocks the move with his legs.
Lapierre is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked Lebaron off and has taken his back!
Lapierre seems to have recovered his senses.
Lapierre is working for the choke. He's slipped one arm under the chin. Lebaron has to defend the other arm for all he's worth... but Lapierre has managed to get that arm free too and he's tightening the choke! Lebaron taps out and looks absolutely disgusted with himself. Lapierre doesn't care though - he's delighted!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:41 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (RNC). Jean Luc Lapierre!
