Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Luke Davidson (ranked 2820 p4p, 2534 weight class) and Irong Kasamsun (ranked 333 p4p, 300 weight class). The crowd seem to be enjoying Kasamsun's choice of entrance music: Tain With No Love - Andre Nickatina. The atmosphere really building for this one as we go over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 7 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Luke Davidson! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 6 - 2 - 0, fighting out of London, Irong Kasamsun! The judges for this bout are Hirohito Nitta, Tatsuya Matsuyama and Ren Mimura.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Kasamsun misses with a takedown attempt and Davidson connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle. Davidson throws a hook to the side of Kasamsun's head but Kasamsun sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully. We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Kasamsun has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat. Davidson misses with a looping right. Davidson just misses with a punch to the body.
Davidson looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight. Kasamsun uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Davidson. Kasamsun shoots in for a double leg but Davidson sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy. Kasamsun throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Davidson tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Kasamsun is in Davidson's guard. Kasamsun working from the guard for now, landing some ground and pound. Kasamsun tries to land a sweep but no joy. Kasamsun has control of Davidson's left arm, preventing Davidson from doing any damage. Davidson stopping the sweep attempt from Kasamsun.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Kasamsun pulls Davidson in to control the position. Davidson wants to control from the top but Kasamsun keeps moving.
The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet. Davidson is looking to take this fight into the clinch. Kasamsun drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard. Davidson controls Kasamsun momentarily but Kasamsun frees himself. Who's going to make the next move? Kasamsun tries to move to mount but Davidson blocks the move with his legs. Kasamsun has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. Davidson manages to work his way to half guard, despite Kasamsun's best efforts. Davidson is looking to improve his position.
Kasamsun wants to take a breather but Davidson is having none of it. Kasamsun thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas. Davidson is looking for a sweep. Kasamsun is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. Kasamsun wants to control but Davidson is keeping him busy. The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Kasamsun lands a nice short elbow. Davidson won't allow Kasamsun to pass to mount. Davidson keeping hold of Kasamsun's head, controlling as best he can. Kasamsun looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Davidson with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.

Kasamsun is looking to work some ground and pound but Davidson has wrist control. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Davidson wants to sweep but no luck. Kasamsun stands and throws Davidson's legs to the side, diving into side control. Kasamsun throwing strikes but missing, from side control. Davidson sneaks a leg under to get back to half guard. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Irong Kasamsun dominated that round. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!
Kasamsun looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into side control! Oh, that's bad for Davidson! Kasamsun misses with a strike but at least he's keeping busy, looking to cause some damage - that will still help him when it comes to the judges scorecards.

Davidson tries to cartwheel into mount but he doesn't manage it. Kasamsun is not content to let Davidson control the position. Kasamsun tries to bench press Davidson off him but Davidson keeps the position. Kasamsun is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked Davidson off and has taken his back! Kasamsun looking to soften up his opponent with punches.

Well, with Kasamsun on his back, surely it's only a matter of time before Davidson is tapping out... Can he escape the position? The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Davidson is trapped and Kasamsun is scoring with shots to the head and body. Davidson is really stuck here.

Kasamsun is throwing strikes from the back here. Oh that last one was to the back of the head. Kasamsun gets a warning from the referee. He throws another strike to the back of the head straight away though and the referee has seen enough. He breaks up the two fighters and stands them back up. Kasamsun gets a real talking to here and is lucky not to get a point deducted. Kasamsun apologises and we restart here on the feet.

Irong Kasamsun showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business. This is the final round!

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Davidson wants to sweep here but Kasamsun controlling him for the moment. Kasamsun sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Davidson's guard. Davidson is trying to control but can't.
Kasamsun throwing shots but Davidson is blocking nicely. The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Kasamsun connects with a nice short shot to Davidson's temple. Kasamsun missing with the ground and pound from half guard. Kasamsun thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas. Kasamsun looking to pass the half guard. Not this time. Kasamsun winds up and cracks Davidson with a swinging punch to the side of the head.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Kasamsun throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man. Kasamsun working over Davidson with some ground and pound. Davidson looks like he wants out of this position, which is understandable.
Davidson is rocked! Irong Kasamsun has got the better of the ground game so far. Kasamsun lands a big elbow - Davidson is out of it! He's waving his arms around but his eyes are closed and he's not intelligently defending himself - the ref has no choice but to jump in and stop the fight! This one is in the books! A TKO win for Kasamsun!

A very excited looking Irong Kasamsun made sure he remembered to thank all the fans both in the arena and on the internet. He said all the coolest people spend all day on MMA websites, which got a big reaction.
