Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Bismack Kagonbo (ranked 263 p4p, 108 weight class) and Franck Kodjia (ranked 2 p4p, 5 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Kagonbo might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Voodoo. Bismack Kagonbo has a significant reach advantage - let's see if he can make it count.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 22 - 14 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Franck Kodjia!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

The fight moves into the clinch position.
Kagonbo is trying to force a seperation but Kodjia has the dominant position.

Franck Kodjia seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

With the fighters clinched against the cage, Kodjia creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut.
Kodjia throws a blind hook that connects with the side of Kagonbos head.
Kagonbo tries to break the clinch but Kodjia is controlling the position.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Nice straight punches there by Kagonbo. You know Roy Jones Jr respects the hands of Kagonbo.
Kodjia fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Kagonbo looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.
Kagonbo throws a hook to the side of Kodjia's head but Kodjia sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Kagonbo avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Kagonbo connects with a leg kick.
Kodjia is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Kagonbo lands with a good body shot.
Kagonbo blocks a leg kick.
Kodjia misses with a head kick.

Kodjia tries to clinch up but Kagonbo circles away and keeps his distance.
Kagonbo stuns Kodjia with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range.
Kodjia misses with a straight right.

Kodjia drops Kagonbo with a hook right on the temple. He thinks about going to the ground but Kagonbo looks back up at him and smiles so Kodjia waves him back to his feet - he obviously thinks he can knock him out after that shot landed.

Kodjia works Kagonbo's body with a nice hook.
Oh Kagonbo is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Kagonbo bobbing and weaving nicely... He's ducked under a jab and ducks again but ooooooh! Kodjia comes at him with an uppercut from hell! Kagonbo falls to the canvas, unconscious! This one is all over! Oh man, looking at the replay that was right on the button! Kagonbo was out before he hit the floor!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:24 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Franck Kodjia!
After the fight, Franck Kodjia was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.
Bismack Kagonbo spoke after the fight, saying 'Breathes heavily....growls...'.
