Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between BJJ Master (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Shicko Boom (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Rumors backstage are that the fighters have been paid to keep it standing but we know that would never happen in MMA!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Boom drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.
Master tries to get back to half guard but can't.
Boom really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Master. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Master drops back, looking for a kneebar! Boom looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Boom looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Boom!
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Master is breathing heavily.

Master drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Boom dives on top into guard.

Master had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Boom is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Master Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Boom's back instead.

Master has his hand under the chin of his opponent looking for the choke. He's nearly got it! This one could be all over! But no, Boom has freed his hand and lives to survive another… well, another couple of seconds at least!
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Master is staying calm and holding on to the back position, whilst working on a rear naked choke. Boom is defending well though. Master let's go of the attempt for now.

Master stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Boom swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Boom is trying to trip Master. He has hold of a leg but Master is hopping around, keeping his balance for the moment. Boom persists though and gets the takedown into guard.

Master has his feet on Boom's thighs here. He's pushed Boom off and worked for a very quick armbar from the bottom! He's flipped onto his stomach and he's cranking hard on the arm! Boom screams in pain and taps out! This one is all over!
