Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Satoshi Ekaku (ranked 4935 p4p, 5608 weight class) and Johnny Mango (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.

Mango throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Ekaku.
Ekaku fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Mango has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.

Mango closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Mango lands in his opponent's guard.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Mango tries to free his leg and advance position but Ekaku is retaining full guard.
Ekaku will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Mango throws a strike but Ekaku rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.

Ekaku got a little sloppy there for a moment and Mango has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Ekaku has managed to get both his arms back between Mango's legs - danger averted.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.

Johnny Mango showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business. This is the final round!

Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Ekaku lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Mango has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Mango and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Mango tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Ekaku manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.

Mango steps to his left, right into the path of a big body kick from Ekaku. That one must have hurt.
Mango's leg has a nasty welt from taking a succession of leg kicks. That must be slowing him down.
Mango shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Ekaku defends it nicely.

Mango is working for an americana but Ekaku has been sneaky and has managed to get back to half guard, whilst Mango was thinking about the submission.

Mango has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

Mango has his foot on Ekaku's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Ekaku works his way back into a safe position though.
