The bell rings for round one and we are underway! The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Dea scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice. Callahan is trying to stand back up. He's worked his way up against the cage but Dea has just dragged him back down to the mat. Dea tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Dea has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought! Dea is in a dominant position here, looking for a kimura. Callahan looks calm but he's in trouble here. Dea gets his leg over his opponent's head and yanks on the arm. Callahan is tapping like a morse code operator on the titanic! SOS! SOS! Dea lets go of the hold and Callahan can pop his arm back in it's socket.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:29 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Kimura). Juares Dea! In his post fight interview, Juares Dea started talking himself up. Luckily his charisma kept the crowd on side and gave him a good reception.
