With a record of 2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Rex Kirby!
The judges for this bout are Paul Gruel, Ryoma Takatsuka and Josh West.

Palumbo scores with a nice one two combo and darts back out of range to avoid anything coming in the opposite direction.

It looks like Rex Kirby has been cut.
Nice sprawl there from Palumbo as Kirby shoots in.

and Kirby counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.
Kirby distracts Palumbo with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm.
Kirby throws a big right hand that misses.
Kirby working from the guard for now, landing some ground and pound.
Kirby working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Palumbo's head.
Palumbo utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Kirby engaging in some classic timewasting tactics.
Kirby loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.

Kirby stands up and waves to Palumbo to follow him.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Palumbo displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Kirby.
Shane Palumbo seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Kirby shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Palumbo is trying to defend but Kirby finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.

Kirby is taking a breather. Palumbo says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.
Palumbo on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Palumbo tries to get out of the position.
Palumbo avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Kirby.
Kirby looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Palumbo with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.

Rex Kirby decided to hype himself up post fight. It was going well but he went on about it a bit too long and the crowd turned on him a little.
