Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Kentrell Turner (ranked 4491 p4p, 4069 weight class) and Reggie Barnes (ranked 509 p4p, 479 weight class). Rumors backstage are that the fighters have been paid to keep it standing but we know that would never happen in MMA!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Kentrell Turner!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Reggie Barnes!
The judges for this bout are Paul Gruel, Colin Fray and Chris Saunders.

Barnes pushes Turner up against the cage in a clinch.
Barnes misses with a punch to the body.

Turner pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Barnes connects with a slap. Keep your fist closed son.
A swing and a miss from Turner.
Barnes is clearly looking to counter with head kicks.
Barnes throws a head kick that misses.
Turner paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button.
We've been informed that Barnes has been sparring a lot of Muay Thai in the buildup to this fight so let's see if that has an impact on the result.
Turner throws a left and a right that both miss
and he gets countered with a snapping leg kick.

Turner ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.

Barnes lands a shoulder strike that jolts his opponent's head backwards.

Turner is looking to break free of the clinch but Barnes has double underhooks.

Turner is trying to force a seperation but Barnes has the dominant position.
Turner is trying to break the clinch but Barnes is controlling him.
The referee is keeping an eye on Barnes - much more stalling and he will separate the fighters.
Barnes tries to work over Turner's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target.
Turner is trying to break free.
Turner wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.
Turner is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Barnes gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt.
Barnes lands a nice shot to the body.
Turner is breathing heavily.

That kick from Barnes tenderised Turner's leg. Turner is trying to keep his angry face on.

Barnes lands a shoulder strike that jolts his opponent's head backwards.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Barnes throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Turner.
Barnes scores with a jab to the head.
Barnes misses with a series of wild punches.
Barnes scores with a head kick. Turner tried to block it but didn't get his arm up in time.
That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Turner crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Barnes - the referee stops the clock and Turner gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Barnes. Turner manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes.
Turner throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Good standup being displayed there by Barnes as he connects with a hook.
Reggie Barnes seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Barnes scores with a jab to the head.
Barnes misses with a body shot.
Turner feinted there with a counter leg kick.

Barnes closes the distance and clinches.
Barnes slowing the pace effectively.
Barnes just leaning against Turner, taking a breather.
Turner is looking to break free of the clinch but Barnes has double underhooks.
Barnes misses with a punch to the body.
Turner looks to be in better condition than last time we saw him fight. Obviously he's been working hard on his cardio.
Barnes is working Turner over against the cage.
Barnes can't find room to land a body shot as Turner controls the action.
Barnes lands with a left to the head.
Barnes working some nice short punches in the clinch.
Turner is trying to force a seperation but Barnes has the dominant position.
Barnes lands on the inside with an uppercut.
Turner tries to break free but Barnes pushes him back against the cage.
Barnes misses with a punch to the body.

Turner breaks the clinch.

Barnes lands a big head kick that sends Turner tumbling to the mat! Barnes takes a step backwards and waves Turner back to his feet - he wants the finish!

Turner is rocked!

It looks like Kentrell Turner has been cut.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Turner gets tagged by a hook that puts him to sleep! Barnes points and yells something to his unconcious foe before strutting off. Turner wakes up just in time to hear Barnes thank his coaches in the post fight interview.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:58 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Reggie Barnes!
Reggie Barnes gave a mention to MKFC in his post fight interview. That will please them (and hopefully generate some sales).
Kentrell Turner was interviewed post fight and said 'This is some bullshit'.
