Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Cam Reid (ranked 5231 p4p, 3746 weight class) and Atticus Turner (ranked 509 p4p, 427 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Cam Reid! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Atticus Turner! The judges for this bout are Colin Fotheringham, Chris Edwards and James Glass.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Reid looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Turner is fending him off so far but Reid persists. Nope, Turner circles away and we're back to standing. Reid gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and Turner counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head. Reid stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Turner.

Turner is nestled in close to Reid, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure. Cam Reid overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Reid punching from the bottom.

This has been an exciting period of action! Reid pushes down on Turner's leg and manages to get into half guard. Reid is taking a breather. Turner says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something. Turner really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Reid. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
